which hotel?

I qualify for AAA rate and I am trying to decide between the moderates (prob one of the PO resorts) and value resorts. Any sugggestions. For a single guy is it worth to stay at the moderates for more money? Thanks!

If I were going single I'd stay at Caribbean Beach or Pop Century. Both are a great value and have great transportation. Any both are fairly close bus rides to PI.

I love POR. If I were making a solo trip, I'd stay there but that's only because I know I wouldn't be able to stay at the poly (which is my fav resort)...

Personally, I wouldn't want to stay at a value resort simply because of the amount of children and families around. They are very family oriented. Don't get me wrong, I love kids but I work in child care and if I'm going on vacation...I want to be on vacation!! I love the serenity of POR and that would be my choice...let us know what you decide!

thanks for the advice...good point about vales being overrun by families...

the poly was my fav resort when i was a kid....too bad its $$$$$$

Have you considered the Swan or Dolphin (they have AP discounts and other discounts as well) or the boardwalk area. Its a very nice a fun area. I think it's the area with the least amount of kids running around.

Do they have early magic hours, etc? I really think of them as sheraton hotels rather than Disney resorts.

We stayed at the Dolphin last year and LOVED IT!! Yes you can use the EMH - you get all the benefits as the other disney resorts except charging to your room and package delivery - The bus and boat service was great , the grotto pool was great , and the heavenly beds were well heavenly! I would definately go back again!
