Which hotel would you choose?

Honestly, if we weren't DVC, we would be staying off-site too. Between those, I would choose Park Vue Inn since its the closest walk to the parks. Plus, it's the cheapest of your options and you can get a lot of churros for that!

Like others have said, I'd also pick PVI for proximity, but mostly for the extra day! That means you can take a slightly slower pace, which is always nice.

Park Vue! Extra night and such a close walk. Plus they just refreshed all the rooms in June. Have a fun trip!!

That is what I am leaning towards as well. My DH is a bit of a hotel snob and also a Marriott Titanium, so we may end up with the 2 rooms at the Fairfield Inn. But I would rather have the 4 nights at the PVI.

It is truly impossible to do 4 nights if your DH goes with the Fairfield?

That is what I am leaning towards as well. My DH is a bit of a hotel snob and also a Marriott Titanium, so we may end up with the 2 rooms at the Fairfield Inn. But I would rather have the 4 nights at the PVI.

The Fairfield is not even that "nice" compared to PVI, it's literally just a bigger motel that's farther away. Even if you factor in about ~50k Marriott points with Titanium status you are only getting ~$400 of value out of your points. It doesn't justify spending more $900 in cash for one less night vs PVI.

Park Vue Inn - $1,500
4 nights - Triple Queen Room (3 queen beds, 1 bathroom)
Pros: Everyone gets a queen bed. Can stay for 4 nights. Closest walk to parks.
Cons: Only 1 small bathroom.

Fairfield Inn - $2,400
3 nights - 2 rooms (1 king each room - guaranteed connecting rooms)
Pros: DD20 gets her own bedroom and bathroom.
Cons: Walk to parks is so-so.

Courtyard Marriott Theme Park Entrance - $2,700
3 nights - Double Bunk, 1 King Suite (4 bunk beds, 1 king, 1 bathroom with 2 showers)
Pros: Nice bathroom layout. Higher quality hotel.
Cons: Will bunk bed be too small for DD20 for 4 nights? Walk to parks is so-so.

Residence Inn Anaheim Convention Center - $2,900
3 nights - 2 Bedroom Executive Suite (1 king, 2 queens, 2 bathrooms)
Pros: DD20 gets her own bedroom and bathroom. Free breakfast. Higher quality hotel.
Cons: Furthest walk to parks.


I’m leaning towards the Park Vue Inn since we can stay for 4 nights for less money than 3 nights elsewhere. And they have recently refreshed their rooms. I’ve always wanted to stay “at the crosswalk” but have never done it.

We have stayed at the Fairfield Inn and Residence Inn before. I thought the walk from the Residence Inn was too far, although that suite would be the nicest and most comfortable for all of us.

I appreciate any thoughts!

Park Vue Inn.

I've stayed there before. Very clean, super short walk to the esplanade. And there's only 3 of you sharing the bathroom...no big deal. You can share for 4 nights. Use some of the $$ you'll save on a Fantasmic dining package or World of Color dessert party instead.

We’ve stayed at all the Marriott hotels walking distance to the parks many, many times. The Courtyard is my favorite hotel for the distance and quality. Both my dad and my 18 year old have slept in the bunk beds with no issues. They are standard twin size. FYI- If there is a standard king room with a theme park view, these rooms are more like suites. They are corner rooms and the bunk beds are in their own little room/alcove with no door down a hallway with the bathroom in between it and the main room. If one is available, you could save some money by booking that instead of the bunk bed suite room. The layout of this room is my favorite plus the view is amazing.

If you want the further walk to the Residence Inn, consider booking the Monster Inc themed family room. They tend to be cheaper than the Executive Suites (which I’ve stayed in before - they are HUGE and feel like a lot of wasted space for three people and that’s coming from someone who LOVES a good quite) and your daughter will still have her own bathroom. The bunk beds are standard twins and my 18 year old plus her friend LOVED that room when we stayed there.
