Hmm... if that's the thread I remember - recent, right? - the issue wasn't drinking around the world. Plenty of people do that. It was drinking around the world, going out drinking that night, and then drinking again the next morning to "cure" the hangover the original poster planned.

You're right, it did start out that way and then I think it turned in to a drinking around the world is bad thread later on.

About Brazilian groups: We were just there recently and were staying at Pop and we were smack dab in the middle of a huge group of them and they were just really rude. I have a feeling is was due more to the age of the girls than their cultural background, but being woken up every night at 1:30 and being kept up until 3 due to them playing a game of knock on the door and run, well that just sucked. Also they like to chant...a lot sometimes and I remember being on Soarin' and the ride being stopped mid go because the group we were riding with(over half the ride was filled with Brazilian tour kids) decided to chant during the entire ride. So it was stopped and the CMs announced that they would not restart the ride until everyone settled down and stopped yelling inappropriately.

I think that any thread that goes against the general opinion of people (the AK thread that is circulately right now) seems to get out of hand pretty quickly as well.

Thanks - I gave up on that thread WAY before this happened! :rotfl2:

THE REFILLABLE MUGS and smoking makes folks turn into YETI in a bad mood. I never get the mugs but LAWD don't get the mug debate even started. We would have to call internet ambulances. And folks whom are offended by smoking offend me. I am going to lite one now. ty

I had to vote for the repeat offender. I've stopped opening threads with "refillable mug???" in the title.
And any post in which you do not outline, rough draft, spell check, or proof read is subject to harassment.

Don't forget these:

1. All of those poor, stupid people who stay offsite. :sad2: Wouldn't you rather be run over by a Mack truck? We've done both and it's funny to see how strongly people feel. :goodvibes

2. People who think because they have children, other people on airplanes should vacate their seat to accommodate them. Even if they had the same opportunity to pay for early seat choice, check in earlier, etc but didn't bother to learn how their airline's seating policies and procedures b/c they assumed 'they would never separate a mom from her children.':rolleyes1

3. Resort decorations. :lmao: I don't understand why Disney staff doesn't love my 6,000 items all over the room, door and windows. I painstakingly made these by hand over the last 8 years and those mean people made me take them down!

:lmao::rotfl::rotfl2:

On the cruise boards:

1. People who would never 'stoop down' to cruise on Carnival, RC, etc.:snooty:

2. People who enjoy other cruise lines and can't see why we're all so enamored with DCL. A FL local argues with us constantly and when a newbie posts, "Why sail on DCL?" jumps right in to practically tell us we're all idiots, even those of us who've tried his fav CL but still prefer DCL.

3. People who can't accept the fact that their kids are not welcome in adult areas of the ship. 'Why isn't the whole ship so head over heels in love with my baby as I am?'
One new mom insisted her 8 month old would be quiet on the adult beach and needed to be there instead of the family beach for "safety reasons." :rolleyes1
(I love my kids too but can accept that the whole world doesn't think they're the sweetest little kittens that ever walked the earth.) :lmao:

I love this thread. :thumbsup2

Because THAT'S exactly what's wrong with society today! :lmao: All these school-skipping, debt-incurring, mug refilling, age-lying, stroller-pushing, bus seat riding, fridge-swapping, room-cramming, seat-saving, Universal-loving, line-jumping, off site stayers going to WDW!:rotfl2:

oh yeah, and THAT'S why the economy is falling apart!

:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl::laughing:

i once asked a question about the deluxe dining plan and stated in my post that I had already done it the year before and loved it. i still got a ton of, "it's too much wasted food" replies

Try telling you loved the deluxe dining and left with ten credit's unused.
They will tell you you have a reservation for the deepest spot in hell.:lmao:

Any post having anything to do with Wheelchairs, ECVs or could be viewed as an insensitivity or sensitivity towards a person with a visible or invisible disability will get you burned to a crisp. (not a personal opinion expressed in this just an observation of what happens.)

Also whether or not you plan can really stoke peoples fire button.

Why do people renting cabana's always get the best spots?
How dare Disney take away the "free" chairs at the Noodle Station for the guests that pay for the Wishes Dessert Party?

Why do people complain when my baby drops a little poop in the pool?
On of my favorites was:"can we take fresh uncooked meat take with us in the plane. Meat is so expensive".
What about towel animals?
The list is endless :rotfl:

OMG! I'm crying from laughing so hard! :lmao::rotfl2:

ordering a double cheeseburger and an extra bun.
or "rude" adults, who stake out spots for a parade, and don't let your kids (AND you) in front of them.
trying to get around the automatic 18% tip for parties of 6 or more, by sitting at 2 dif. tables.
letting a poor child leave a line to go to the bathroom, and returning to said line.
using the food court microwave to "nuke" your own food.
purchasing a mug, and using it at the 2nd resort you stay (on a split stay trip)
not getting the room view you "requested", so your whole trip should be "comped"
drinking should not be allowed ANYWHERE, it's all about the kids.

the biggest: POP WARNER!!

No, No, No, No

It's definitely the fact that Disney doesn't allow my family to lead the parade; makes me wait in lines for thing; and doesn't hand me every bit of merchandise and food comped, on a silver platter; because I stubbed my toes when I was getting ready in my hotel room.

And that is just how it is. I won't let anyone tell me different, because I know I'm right, and I'm always right.

there are two that I remember well.

One was the Tinkerbell thread.... this one poster said she thought Tink was a bad role model for young girls because she tries to kill Wendy, is impulsive, rude, ect, ect, ect.....

Then all these people who love tink show up and call her a feminist icon, say she is a better role model than the princesses who just get married, live lives for men ect.

The other one is the Disney kills all the Mom's threads/ Disney characters are too sexualized/ Who is Max's mom thread

People don't want to have icky thoughts about Goofy having adult relations, but some people don't mind thinking about having them with Jasmine/ Esmerelda/Jack Sparrow

Those threads always cause wars.

This reminds me of a good one from last year. Someone posted how excited she was about The Princess and The Frog. Someone went crazy because the movie wasn't based on truth. There's no way a black girl would have been named Tiana during that era. No black person have been allowed to own a restaurant at that time... She just could not understand why none of us gave a rats butt about the crap she was focusing on. My nieces were just happy that Disney would finally have a princess that looks like them.

That was a fun thread.:rotfl:

The people whining about wheelchair users getting boarded first or use of GACs drive me mad:mad:. If you want the privileges have the disability rather than show your own stupidity.

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

I'm sorry if this was mentioned. I voted "other" for people holding onto and using fastpasses after the return window. I know a lot of people do it (guilty) but those that don't like it are passionate about it.

I do this. As a matter of fact that is one of the main reasons we take advantage of AM EMH. It's a great time to collect FPs to use later in the day.

On of my favorites was:"can we take fresh uncooked meat take with us in the plane. Meat is so expensive".

That was a good thread. If I remember correctly, the family was going to a resort in the Caribbean.

This thread is awesome!!! I was recently flamed for calling out people for being too negative and sweating the little stuff too much. People don't want to be told to "lighten up and enjoy life a bit". Being positive will get you flamed for sure.

This has been a great thread but I don't understand one of the options... How could a thread on line jumping be controversial? Who is in favor of cutting in line??

Most people understand/are ok with taking a child to bathroom then returning to the line.

However, some want to have one parent hold a place in line while the other parent takes the kids to ride something else, grab a snack, or just play for a bit. For some strange reason, these folks think their kids can't handle waiting in line.

Finding this thread is great, I think everyone joining the Dis needs to see it. I, like others on here are new to the boards, but I have lurked for years. What held me back was the people who freak out if you post a personal opinion. I still get so nervous when I read and want to post a comment, or even agree with another person. I usually just change threads. Anyway I am loving all the post on this thread, feeling better that I am not alone.:thanks:

I find it ironic that a thread that has nothing to do with theme parks attractions and strategies is still in this forum...

that said, "other" -- smoking on the balconies...

The thread is about theme parks.

Where do you think the line jumping takes place? Where do you think the parade problems occur? Where do you think the fastpass issues come up?

If you don't like the thread, don't read. Please don't spoil the fun for the rest of us.

uh oh folks I think we may have a problem.:tiptoe:

forgot my vote was other...not sure of the name but people who don't think you should take the cute towels/washcloths that housekeeping makes. Not that I have even got one yet.:scared1:

Towel Animals is what they are called and I think it's dumb for people to get so bent out of shape when you say you've taken one. Most of the resorts tell you that it is okay to take them home as they are meant as gifts to you from them, but I guess to each their own.

But I do enjoy seeing mine every morning when I got in to take my shower...makes me feel like for just that 20 minute shower that I am still in WDW and not in the real world getting ready for work.
