What is your favorite DVC resort to stay at?

Also, if you'd like to add WHY you like it and WHY you dislike certain ones we would love to hear it

Thanks and have fun

I like the Boardwalk because I think the location is perfect and it is not spread out over a vast area such as Saratoga Springs and Old Key West resorts.

In my opinion a resort close to a theme park is such a big advantage and the BWV area with EPCOT plus other hotels closeby has a lot to offer.
The rooms were also renovated fairly recently.

New members, so I choose my home resort, VWL. For me, it is a peaceful respite from the frantic activity of the parks, yet not too far removed - still feel like we're just a step or two away from being back into the thick of things!

I'm fond of saying "Nobody else does cozy on such a grand scale!"

At this point we are making something of a lodging tour of all the DVC properties, and we've found something to like about each. But now I'm starting to feel a little "homesick", and will likely push for a return to the Wilderness Lodge before our tour is complete.

Our favorite is VWL, it's the theme that speaks to our souls. The extra little things like the animal tracks in the concrete always make me smile. We love the villa pool with the little springs in it, and the convenient location of the pool and the hot tub. However, it is not the only DVC that we own.

OKW is my least favorite because of the lack of elevators in most of the buildings, only 3 have them. I would love to be able to get a villa overlooking the canal, but that's not where the elevator building are. Also, DH and I often go with studios, and we don't like the configuration of the studios there. We like having a sofa to sit on when it's the 2 of us. OKW's studios have 2 queen beds. Now, "least favorite" does not mean I hate it. We've 2 OKW stays that were wonderful and I think it's a beautiful resort. Its just that for most of our trips, it would be the last I would try to get into.

PS. When we go to Vero Beach, which we love, the ocean view inn rooms also have 2 queen beds, so we put up with the configuration because we love the view. We really don't have any hard and fast likes and dislikes. To tell the whole truth, the treehouses don't have elevators, but we loved staying in one with our DGC's family. As we get older, I can see us asking for a HA one, one with a ramp. I can walk up/down ramps much easier than steps

:)We love the BWVs (owner) because of location, however, we have stayed at OKW (also own there), BLT, SS & BCVs and have not had a bad experience. We are staying 1 night at VWL in a few weeks before moving to OKW so we will get to experience that one as well.

I voted for BLT (our home) for its proximity to MK and the fact that it is on the monorail. You just can't beat walking to MK and between the MK Bus Depot and the monorail, you have a direction connection to any other resort making it awesome for ADRs at other resorts.

I also voted BLT (our home)
Also for its proximity to MK and magical view ,I love the short walk back in the evening from MK and the last time I was there it rained allot one day so the monorail was great to get out and around to the other resorts -
The proximity of the MK buses are nice as we often have family at POR and that
direct bus is handy !

Voted for BLT. Only been at BLT and AKV for now.

Can't wait for September to roll around and Aulani gets added to these polls. :)

I can't vote because I would want to check them all!!! I haven't stayed at all of them, yet, but plan to. They are all so unique in their own and it depends what I am looking for for that particular vacation. I have trips where I want to be totally Disney and others where I want to just relax and DH can just play golf. Our next trip will be our first split stay at SSR and BWV so we will be both relaxed and submersed and I can't wait!! This is what I love about DVC

So far my favorite is AKV, but have only stayed at BWV and OKW. Really love them all. Stayed at OKW twice before becoming members this past spring. Loved the laid back feel there and the size of the villas. BWV was great because of the proximity to Epcot. Loved the feel of AKV the most though. Best theming and really felt like I was somewhere else. A grate escape after busy days at the park. We are trying THV and BCV over spring break and can't wait. Maybe I will discover a new favorite.:goodvibes

Everything Bobbi said! Thanks for saving me the typing! BCV is a very close 2nd though.

The BCV. Enough said. The short walk to Epcot, the activity over at The Boardwalk and the ferry ride to Disney Studios is just perfect.

OKW - rooms are much larger, lower points, quiet and relaxing. Basketball courts for the boys. We don't go to the parks much, mostly pool hop so being near a park isn't important to us. Even in the early years when we went almost everyday we only stayed at OKW. It's home to us

That was a tough one. I voted for BCV but the Villas at the Grand Californian is the nicest DVC resort we have ever stayed at hands down.

I'm into great views and walking to a theme park.

I chose BLT, but BWV and VGC are also favorites.
