I don't own "yet"...I think I would like to own either at VWL, BCV or BWV and this is my reasoning. I like the boat ride to MK from VWL and the walk to Epcot with BWV and BCV. I like the thought of having 2 bathroom in a 1 br at AKL but I hear from everyone it is soooo dark in their villas.

Dh and I thought that after staying in the lodge way back. Kids couldn't even do their homework because of poor lighting. We tried again at CL at Jambo and still thought it was rather dark for us. So AKV are our least favorite. Plus, we have not had a good experience with views or animals. Just don't think it is worth the extra points for us.

imo it's an optical illusion of sorts, all that dark wood/bedding:confused3.

we don't really spend much time in the room other than to rest. I don't remember my DS doing his homework there/type of lighting - sorry. He tends to spend most of his free time out on the balcony, he has done homework there in the past lol

SSR so far. Stayed at OKW and BWV also. That is my preference in order. Didn't dislike any and look forward to the others.

I voted BCV but it's really almost a tie with VWL for us. Both resorts have some awesome features but I chose BCV because SAB is DS's fav. pool and we love being able to walk to Epcot. If we got to rank them all SSR would be #3 and OKW would be last...

Our family likes BWV best because of the location. Epcot and DHS are within walking distance so it works very well as our "hub".

AKV....

...It is unlike any other resort...
...Great restaurants!...
...Lots of booking categories (some might see as a negative, but I like it:thumbsup2)...
...Theming...
...Amenities...
...The aroma!...
...and the best part? The VALUE VILLAS!! A great feature for those of us with smaller contracts:banana:.

The BCV. Enough said. The short walk to Epcot, the activity over at The Boardwalk and the ferry ride to Disney Studios is just perfect.

This and we love SAB! Since EPCOT is our favorite park, it just makes sense. We've stayed at all the DVC resorts at WDW, except AKV. We are staying there in May. So maybe our favorite will change then. I do have to admit that my heart belongs to OKW. We bought there when it was the only one. So it has sentimental value to me. Oh, so many choices! I think I might need more points! :thumbsup2

I LOVE the Beach Club. It is such a wonderful resort and so close to so many Disney attractions. I just wish they had more availabilty!

BLT - it is the only DVC on the monrail. Plus you can WALK to the Mk.

since it and Epcot are my favorites - then this works great for me.

walk over to the Mk and monrail to Epcot.

WOW BCV Really started to take the lead over BWV, I am really enjoying this poll, I hope you are also

This is a tough one. We voted OKW because we like the size of the villas. However, we also have loved staying at VWL because of the proximity to MK and other amenities.

I voted Saratoga, but it is really for the Treehouse Villas. We absolutely loved our stay there and would stay there again in a heartbeat. Definitely the best room we've ever had at Disney...

I just love DVC. I voted for OKW because it has the most memories. Little ones going round and round master bedroom, balcony, living room, master bedroom, balcony, living room .... Feeding the ducks outside our patio. The HUGE rooms. Watching TV from the tub. Ted, Ed, and Eddie ... Basketball, Shuffleboard, Unbirthday Parties, Ping Pong and Basketball competitions.... I can go on and on...

But then there is:
BCV - the pool is to die for of course...then the shortest walk ever to EPCOT
BWV - the entertainment on the boardwalk is wonderful. My kids could sit out there all night and watch the magicians, musicians, and of course play football on the lawn.
Hilton Head - riding bikes on the beach, finding sea stars and fish in the tidal pools, roasting marshmallows and singing at the campfire.
THV - great space, each kid has a bed to himself, out in the middle of nowhere atmosphere
VB - loved playing miniature golf everyday, tennis, the beach
GCV - small small walk to the park
VWL - the main pool is fabulous, watching the electrical parade and the geyser go off, have to go to Chip and Dale's sing-along

Did I forget any -- Oh yeah, our last and next trip to BLT
BLT - the closeness to restaurants, at least 5-8 just a short hop skip and monorail away. I love the lake view, the fireworks from the Top of the World.

Are there any others?? I am looking forward to Aulani next year.

P.S. We own at BW, OKW, SSR, and BLT. We are closely related to Mickey.

LOVE THIS POST! What great memories you created for your family!

Fell in love with OKW in 1999, bought in 2000 and love it today just as much as when I 1st bought! Going there in June, so looking forward to it! It may have lost some of it's charm and OKW theme with the refurb. but I know I'll still love it!

I know our favorite will vary according to the stage of life we are in at the time, but right now with between 5 and 7 adults on a trip, we like the 2 BR units at Animal Kingdom Kidani Village. We like the fact the living room is a little larger than some and that there are 3 bathrooms. Coming in second would be OKW due again to the size of the rooms and then 3rd would be our home SSR due to the decor and location close to DTD. As we age and fewer go on trips, I can see SSR, Boardwalk and Beach Club becoming our favorites.

We really like AKV because of the atmosphere, the animals, and the great dining choices. We did a split stay last May and stayed half the trip at AKV and the other half at BLT. Other than the convenience of being close to the Magic Kingdom and Monorail we did not like BLT at all. It felt like a hospital to us - very cold and uninviting.
