Which DVC Resort is your favorite?

My husband and I used our DVC points the first year we had it to stay one night at OKW (we were very excited about going down and ended up getting in one night early) and the remainder of the week at SSR. We were unable to go last year as we had just had a baby girl and decided to wait a year before taking her down. This next summer she will be almost two years old, we are ready to go back down and have begun discussing our plans with his family who we will also be going down with. We are thinking of trying a different resort and I would love to hear anyone's opinion on what resorts they feel are best. We will be having 6 adults, one 2 year old and a 7 year old with us. We were thinking about VWL or BWV, but are still open.

I have stayed at all of the DVC resorts except SSR and I can honestly say I like them all. That said, I do believe my favorite is our home resort, OKW. I just love the laid-back feeling of the resort and the size of the villas. I love that it feels like a community instead of a hotel.

You don't mention what size unit(s) your group will be getting. If you are all going to be staying in a 2BR I would definitely recommend OKW as the units are far bigger than anywhere else. If you are going to be splitting up into multiple units or getting a Grand Villa you'll be okay anywhere. (Just remember there are no GVs at VWL or BCV).

My wife and I joined a few years back, and the only place we have stayed since being members is our home resort SSR. We love it there!

Next week we are going for the first time with our daughter Cameron who is two and a half. We are so excited and cant wait to see how much she enjoys WDW. Don't worry, we know we will be coming back, so we wont be the parents dragging around a screaming miserable child - we will take it easy on her!

Anyway - we staying at BWV for our first non SSR visit. We are already thinking ahead and hoping to do VWL next time.

Our favorite Theme is : VWL, and for the kids it is close to the Magic Kingdom. I guess that would be my top choice.

We have stayed at all the resorts except VWL and our home resort, BCV, is our very favorite. The pool and beach make the resort a wonderful vacation experience. We don't have little children, but if we did I would still choose BCV as my first choice. In weather that is too cool for the pool, though, I would choose VWL because of its proximity to MK.

I love all of the DVC resorts, but we tend to choose OKW or SSR if we are spending a week at Disney. We love both resorts, and they are so easy with children because you can park right in front of your unit (at OKW) or building (at SSR). OKW is probably my favorite of the 2, but we do love how you can walk to Downtown Disney so easily from SSR.

Our DGC were all under 7 years, but we really enjoyed being at the VWL this past August. We only went to AK and MK with the children, and the commute was easy. The children really enjoyed all of the pools. Adults had nice meals at Artist Point, we had fun family meals at Whispering Canyon.

VWL is our favorite overall resort.

We like to try the various DVC resorts; it makes every trip different, and we enjoy all of them for their unique atmospheres.
Not knowing how many points you have, since you need multiple room, if you need to stretch your points, OKW is the most point-cost-effective. If the point-cost isn't an issue, try whichever resort appeals to you for this trip.

You can't go wrong with DVC!

DH's favorite (to the point where he won't stay anywhere else) is OKW; my fave (but I'll stay elsewhere) is BCV. I wonder if other families have this split on "favorites" and if so, how they work with it. For me, it gets me 2 trips a year! When DH and I go, we stay at OKW. Then I go solo one other time a year and stay at BCV. Oh-and DS's favorite is BWV.

We've stayed at BWV, SSR and OKW.We love all of them but SSR is by far our favorite. I do think BWV has the best location, however.

My favorite: VWL
DH's Favorite: SSR
DD's Favorite: VB (um - her favorite WDW resort is the POP and she'll just have to deal with me never.staying.there.again.)
DS's Favorite: We have not stayed there yet - but I am guessing it would be BWV

How do we work it out? Well, the kids have strong opinions against VWL because they don't like the pool - so we are staying there in January when the pool is not an issue. My 2nd favorite is SSR and everybody likes it - so we'll stay there most of the time. BWV - we'll try to get it for DS every now and then. We go to VB every year.

IF VAKL open, I can easily see it being DD's favorite. CRV would, hand down, be DS's favorite. Tell me, how on earth could I ever buy where I want to stay?

We just sleep around a bit when it comes to resorts and we've already promised the kids that we will pay the 10% down if they want to purchase DVC when they get their first "real" job. Both kids already save a little $$ for "their" DVC and DS10 has already got his first "trip" planned to take without his parents and with his best friend when he's all grown up!

I think my favorite will always be OKW. But I like VWL at the winter holiday times. And I like SSR for any other times.

Asking me which is my favorite resort is like asking me which of my kids is my favorite. (It depends on the day ) But really, I love them all the same and appreciate their individual differences.

So far we've hit everyone except SSR. Our last trip was this past August and we stayed in VWL which so far is in the lead for my personal favorite. My kids love, love, love our home resort, BCV's because of the awesome pool and the proximity to Epcot. So my order would be.

1. BCV's (by a very slime margin)
2. VWL
3. BWV
4. OKW

Well, my favorite is OKW, and it is what I suggest for your trip mostly because of the size of our party. The larger kitchen and full sized laundry room are a BIG plus with a big group, and the larger porch with the extra table and chairs makes dining a LOT easier.

I'm convinced that every Member secretly believes VWL is the best DVC Resort.
