Just wondering which Walt Disney DVC Resort is the hardest to get @ 7 months.

Hilton Head in June or July!

IMHO, it depends on what time of the year you are interested in reserving and also, the type/size of accomodations. Hard to vote on a general basis.

The standard view rooms and the guaranteed Boardwalk view rooms at the BWV are difficult to get at 7 months most times of the year.

Getting a 2 bedroom unit with two Queen beds in the second bedroom is difficult most times of the year at BCV.

The Grand Villas at OKW & BWV and the Beach Cottages at VB are also difficult most times of the year.

VWL is most difficult between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

HHI is most difficult in the summer.

The EPCOT resorts are difficult most dates in October through December.

Carol...you took the words right out of my keyboard! :teeth:

I didn't vote for the exact reason you specified. If the OP wants to give more details (time of year, villa size, etc) then I think we can provide a better response.

This is just an overall time frame. Don't want to get too complicated. Just what your experiences have been.

I agree totally with CarolMN and Granny.......you really can't generalize because each resort has its own "season" so to speak.... depending what time of year it is and what type of accomodations you're looking for. Everything Carol says is totally correct IMO.

I voted VWL, just because it is the smallest. But BCV is probably the hardest to come by, especially in the warmer mos., because of Stormalong Bay. VWL is harder to get in lateNov, early Dec because of decorations, I think.

It depends on the time of year. But overall I'd say I've had the most trouble getting BCV (but nothing that isn't remedied by a waitlist at 7months out).

I agree with your comments, but we were at VB in September and only 2 of the 6 of the beach cottages were occupied during our stay. We tried to get a tour, but the times we tried there weren't any CM's available to walk us through.

I didn't vote because it truly does depend on the unit size you want. If you want a studio, I'd say BCV is hardest to get after 7 month window opens, but if you want a standard view BWV, then THAT is the most difficult at the 7 month window. If you are looking at an OKW GV, THAT will be the most difficult. If you want holiday time at VWL...yep difficult at 7 months. The answer is all relative to time of year and unit size.

LOL, guess I should have read the other posts before I posted, because it looks like several others are of the same mind as I am!

We have never had trouble at the 7 month window. We usually get what we want. I have heard HHI in the summer months, BWV and BCV for food and wine. :sunny:

Agree with the others that it totally depends on time of year, etc.

FWIW, I just got a 1 BR at BCV at only 5 weeks out...so, even though many may consider that the hardest to get into...this is a case in point of "it all depends...."

Being a newbie to DVC, just from my observations, it seems like BCV & BWV studios seem like they are the hardest to get. I would think HHI might be tough given it is small.

My own experience: my home is SSR and I recenlty booked at the 7 month window for BCV. Its a 2BR and I was able to book 7 nights for the last week in June '07, however, we could not get the same 2BR for 7 consecutive nights. My ressie is the first 2 nights with a 2BR that has a 1 queen and a sofa bed in the 2nd bedroom. The other 5 nights are a 2BR with 2 queens in the 2nd bedroom. I am waitlisted for the 2 nights in hopes of not having to chech in/check out during my stay.

Also, I when I booked, I asked about VWL and BWV for 2BRs. There was availability at both. For BWV the only 2 BRs available were the preferred views, the standard views were already taken.

So , I was pleasantly surprised that we could book at these resorts - there is Hope !!!!

At the 7th month mark, I was just able to book a 2-bed at BWV, a standard view in July '07 for the week of July 15. I had to call day by day, but it is in the same room for the entire week and a standard view. Got all my needs met!

I know July is not the most popular time to go to Florida, but we are burning through an AP and we decided to try that time of year.

Just as I thought BCV, don't know why thought. BWV has much better views.
