Which deluxe do you think is the best? Best service, clean, best atmosphere etc....
Be sure to also add your comments as to why you think it is the best.

I voted Wilderness Lodge because:

1. I like the Magic Kingdom resorts the best since I spend the most time there.

2. The Polynesian is too big.

3. The Contemporary tower rooms are too loud. And the garden rooms are too far.

4. The Grand Floridian is too posh.

5. The Wilderness Lodge is just right! :rotfl: I like that once you're in the building, you're in the building. Ahhh, a/c. Would be nice to be on the monorail but it's also nice to go directly somewhere without always trying to finagle the TTC transfer.

We've stayed in all the deluxes, save for CR, at this point. There wasn't a bad one in the bunch, and as I like variety, I'm sure we will continue to spread our patronage around.

That being said, the GF is my overall favorite. Everything was top-notch when we stayed there in 8/05, and I can't wait to get back there this Dec. (I already have Dec. '08 booked, too!) The CMs went above and beyond, mousekeeping was wonderful, our room was pristine, the ambiance was lovely and relaxing. :cloud9:

Our other top choices are the AKL and the Poly. We also really liked BC and BWI. Really, any of them have their pros/cons! :goodvibes

I love love love WL, and I'd rather stay there than anywhere else. The resort is stunning, the rooms are beautiful, the pool is great for kids, and we found both the boat and bus service to be great ( we never waited more than 2-3 minutes for either, and that was during busy 4th of July week). I really like the layout of WL (and AKL) more than the other deluxes, the way it's all enclosed. Both the CS and TS restaurants are great, in fact WCC is one of our favorites. And we just like being close to the MK. It's our favorite park and where we spend the most of our time. Last summer my daughter and I sat out on our balcony at WL and watched Wishes. It was absolutely magical!

This winter we're doing AKL because WL wasn't available. I'm kind of excited about trying something new, I just hope we don't miss WL too much! :)

I voted for the Beach Club - it has a great atmosphere about it. The pool is awesome!!! Also you are in walking/boating distance of 2 parks - Epcot and MGM and you have the Boardwalk with Many dining options and night time activities.

The staff at the Beach Club has always been very friendly and outgoing and I stay there alot!

Have a great trip!!

The Beach Club is the only deluxe we've stayed at thus far, and we LOVED it! Beautiful decor, quiet rooms, best pool I've ever seen, and all just a stone's throw from the World Showcase. It ranks among the best resorts I've stayed at anywhere, ever. After staying there, I can't imagine staying anywhere else for a summertime Disney trip. I'd miss Stormalong Bay too much!

We've only stayed at Poly and BWI, so I voted for Poly - loved the atmosphere, the CM's were very helpful, grounds and room were immaculate and proximity to MK and other MK resorts is great. I would love to try GF sometime, but somehow I don't think I will like it as much! BWI was great in the fall for the F&W festival at Epcot, but the rooms were kind of shabby and I didn't like the atmosphere or amenities as much. If I decided to stay at an Epcot resort again, would probably go for YC or BC.

Because of it's location and theme/feel, Beach Club is our favorite......so much so that we bought DVC so we could stay at either the BCV or BWV.

The proximity to Epcot and MGM, our two favorite parks, is awesome. The pool is amazing. I like the decor and the manageable size of the resort. We enjoy walking over to the Boardwalk after dinner at night or into Epcot.

It just works. :)

I love the Wilderness Lodge!!!! I was married there on the Sunrise Terrace and I just think it is romantic yet has a feel like you are at home. It is beautiful and peaceful, a great oasis from being in the hustle and bustle of the parks. The dining is fabulous, I really love Artists Point, you have got to have the Coffee Two Ways dessert there, it is sooooooo good!! My kids love it there, the pool is very nice and things are small enough that you don't feel overwhelmed when you are with the kids. I just love the Lodge for a million reasons more than I have listed, but it is awesome!!!!:hippie:

The Contemporary has a very Disney feel about it. You can walk to the Magic Kingdom. The monorail access can't be beat, and have you seen the view? Wow!

It was our 1st on property experience, and it is very special to me and DH.

We can't wait to purchase some points at whatever is or is not being built at the Contemporary right now. :rotfl2:

I voted for the Poly, after our first stay, we decided that's it baby! We don't really even want to try anything else! We have our third stay planned for May.

Another vote for the WL! It's our absolute favorite resort and we don't really like staying anywhere else. I love the fact that everything is all in one building, the pool area is great, and we love WCC. I have told so many people about it and have not had one yet to come back with anything negative.

I voted for the Wilderness Lodge, alhtough the Beach Club is pretty close behind that. I love the Wilderness Lodge. Love the fact that it's small & compact, so it's easy to get around. Love that there are 2 pools & 3 hot tubs. Love the boat launch to the Magic Kingdom. The lobby is amazing!! Have always had great experiences here.

Another vote for the WL! It's our absolute favorite resort and we don't really like staying anywhere else. I love the fact that everything is all in one building, the pool area is great, and we love WCC. I have told so many people about it and have not had one yet to come back with anything negative.

Never been to WL... can you walk to Animal Kingdom? Is there a path back to the resort? Where is it?

Thanks:wizard:

Voted for the Poly  Location..View...Club Level...Rooms
but....I also love the AKL  and the Contemporary

Next up the Wilderness Lodge in 2008

Great thread...love to read all the review on "why we love the resort we voted for'

THis is tough..I think each is BEST for something.

I voted GF cause that stay was so magical, post FTW :) However I really enjoyed our recent stay at YC!! SAB is awesome for kids of all ages, close proximity to 2 parks..CM's were great..Club Level was wonderful!
I have always loved the Poly, I always pay a visit for a meal, stroll on the beach etc....but both times it just seemed sooo crowded..pool area..no hot tub, and not an impressive kiddie area by the pool. With that being said..nothing beats being on that beach at night watching the fireworks and seeing GF at night!!!
