Which day to Visit MK?

We are going in September and will be doing MK either Thursday or Friday. We will not have park hopper tickets, so only one park per day. Right now, it looks like MNSSHP will be Friday night and extra magic morning hours will be Thursday. So ...

Thursday:
3 extra hours of park time (8-9)
Extra magic morning hours
More crowded

Friday:
Fewer guests because of MNSSHP and no extra magic hours
Fewer hours in park (9-7)

Would it be worth it to do Friday because there are fewer guests and we could enjoy the park more, or should we do Thursday because we would have 3 more hours in the park?

Is it important to you to see Wishes?

I would go Thursday and get a whole day out of it. You're going in September, you will not experience massive crowds.

I would choose Friday because Thursday will be more crowded with the EMH. Friday on a party night will be way less crowded and you be able to get more done. This crowd calendar help you decide. I agree with ModernArtist. With only one day at MK, I would definitely want to see MSEP and Wishes, and September crowds are low.

Oh yes! Good point about missing the parade and fireworks. We love the parades especially, so going on Friday would mean we miss that. We are going on Tuesday to MNSSHP, so we really have more than one day at MK, but we would miss Wishes altogether if we go on Friday. I also thought about trying for a Crystal Palace breakfast reservation early so we could get in to the park an hour early, but that does not work on Thursday since there are extra magic hours and I don't want to miss a morning of low-crowd riding to eat breakfast. We could do that on Friday. Hm. Looks like there is no clear winner . . .

You would miss regular Wishes by going on Friday, but you would see HalloWishes during the party.

If you are going to see HalloWishes earlier in the week as well the parade during the party, I would lean towards Friday with lower crowds. Depending on how many parties there are the week you are there, Thursday could have significantly higher crowds.

You can get into the MK at 4 PM and do some rides before the party. I was going to vote for Thursday, but changed to Friday since you will have been at the party already.
