Question for those who have done the test at Walgreens. When booking the appointment it appears you have to book each person separately? Like when I step through the process (just to see how it works) I never saw an option to add an additional person. So I'm assuming I need to book everyone one at time?
Yes, one person at a time. May not be able to get the time next to each other but show up at the earlier time and they will let both of you do the test at the same time.
FYI, if you are flying Westjet (I can speak to that as that is who I’m flying) ensure you have your ArriveCan & Covid result ready to show at checkin. They had a person doing it before the line. Of the 3 in front of me - one didn’t have Covid test because they thought they did not need one to transit thru Canada, another had wrong test, and the third filled out the ArriveCan but his wife didn’treally bogs things down. The lady who did not have one, was arguing with every gate agent

At MCO when returning. Was this in Canada or the US?
I believe it’s a nostril swab. For the NAAT ID NOW tests done at Walgreens for the proof to fly back to Canada, is the swab they take the one where they go deep (someone described it as tickling the brain!) or just a nostril swab?
It's a self administered nostril swab. 5 cirlcles in one and then 5 in the other. For the NAAT ID NOW tests done at Walgreens for the proof to fly back to Canada, is the swab they take the one where they go deep (someone described it as tickling the brain!) or just a nostril swab?
The Walgreens one you do it yourself, it’s like sticking a q-tip in your nose, circle a few times in both sides - no need to poke your brain. Are any of the COVID tests in the US the ones that you gargle or just take the sample from the nostril, or are the only ones available where they basically take a brain sample?
All of the stuff that you need to do is done in advance online. For 3 of us it probably took around 15 minutes in the drive through as they do one person at a time. We didn't have to show any ID either when we went. Then we had our results in under an hour. Thanks for the great info! How long does it take at Walgreens? There will be 2 of us in the car. Really nervous about this for some reason. Do we do any paper work in person, or is it all done during the booking process? We'll have the email confirmations ready, ID, etc...
Oh, good- I was hoping to find topics like this on here. I'm going in Nov. 7-16 and will definitely need this into. I was thinking it was $150 for all tests for some reason, so I'm surprised it's free.
So just to double-check if my info is correct:
* The Walgreens by Disney Springs is one of the closest pharmacies that does quick enough testing to get back into Canada. If not, there are a few ones close by to the resort areas.
* You need to book it ahead.
* They email you the results, usually within 1-2 days.
I really wish Canada would just allow the rapid tests to get back into the country already. Especially for vaccinated passengers. I would consider BeeperMD but it looks like there's a window for them getting to your door that's pretty big.
Cool! Did they just email it to you, then?I went to the Walgreen's at 5180 W Irlo Bronson Memorial HWY (aka 192) and had the results within 45 minutes. ID NOW. They did not ask for ID.
