Which conspiracy theories do you believe?

No, I'm simply pointing out the theories regarding SH aren't any different than any of the others listed here - none of which has any proof either, BTW. And to be clear,
I'm talking 2nd shooter/agenda theories. I put "didn't happen" theories into an entirely different realm.

And trust me, if I felt the theories were correct, I damn sure would say so here.
We may not know each other face to face, but I think anyone who has paid any attention to my posts knows I say what I think.

Edit: - and seriously, are you suggesting that understanding where someone is coming from must mean you AGREE with them? Please.

You went way beyond just understanding where someone is coming from. But it was a nice attempt to back track.

It's the motivation behind Sandy Hook conspiracies that make the people who entertain them either stupid or just bad people. It was a horrific tragedy and should be given respect.
It isn't about having to agree. There comes a point where we all have to stop entertaining things that are just disgusting and ridiculous, stop trying to justify abhorrent things.

I generally don't believe in Conspiracy Theories, but i'll bite...

TWA Flight out of JFK is one of the top for me - just too many people said they saw a missile. Such a tragedy. :(
Malaysia Air flight for sure.....the plane was flying in the absolute wrong direction.
Tupac's "death"?

The latest shooting at FLL airport - there are so many things about it that just don't ring true. CNN had crisis actors pretending to be passengers at the airport, and the video shot from outside showing this ambulance driving back and forth and the emergency workers milling about, it was strange.

No, I didn't.

And how ironic that here we are in a conspiracy theory thread watching a couple of you desperately trying to find the "hidden meaning" in something that's just not that complex.

FLL I fully believe. I think what the media did though was create a panic of a "2nd incident" that ended up being nothing. People were on high alert and they start hearing live on air multiple shooters multiple locations and of course it will cause even more panic.

I think our 24 hour news cycle and jump to be first not right is what leads to so much panic and then misinformation that turns into conspiracy theories.

On the Kurt Coban thing vs 9/11 & SH I find 1 single death under suspicious circumstances can be discussed with out being conspiracy. When you start saying our government or big business or whatever is causing mass murders or chaos to push a specific agenda it starts to enter conspiracy theory. That is my personal line of course. It will depend person to person.

I believe there was some sort of conspiracy regarding the JFK assassination. I don't know that I subscribe to a particular theory (there are a LOT of them) beyond that there was a second shooter. JFK is one of my favorite movies but one of the criticisms about it is that Oliver Stone took every conspiracy theory surrounding the assassination and put it in this movie which really muddied the waters.

I do not believe Elvis or Jim Morrison are still alive. I do think there was probably something more to Marilyn Monroe's death than the official story.

I have no doubt at all that the entire 9/11 story was kept from the public. I'm quite certain that involves highly classified and sensitive military and state department intelligence that, if widely known, would compromise things that I am quite certain I don't want to know anything about.

I also believe there is no Santa Clause and that parents the world over are all involved in a massive conspiracy to make children believe a fat man in a red suit watches them and awards them for good behavior in order to get good behavior out of them.

I've heard all sorts of theories, including some that are polar opposites and coming from a completely different place. And some are just people who can't wrap their head around the reality of it. I really don't fault the believers.

Now, someone who knows the truth and spreads false conspiracy rumors to further an agenda? Sure, I'd agree those are bad people.

That it did.

That it did.

Really though, a lot of the theories are really out there and I don't believe they are true. But the Magic Bullet theory alone is enough to seal it for me that there was something fishy going on. That, combined with the firing tests done on the weapon used and the fact that apparently Oswald was far from a crack shot tells me there was a second shooter and therefore some sort of conspiracy.

Was it perpetrated by the CIA or the mob or Castro? That I don't know. I don't know enough about it to have an opinion on that.

Was Oswald's lack of proficiency ever verified though? Plus, I think even if that were true, one can get lucky. It did take 3 shots to deliver a fatal hit. I never believed in the 2nd shooter, but often wondered if Oswald had help of some kind.

The ONLY part of this that wasn't explained to my satisfaction was that Oswald wasn't a great shot. Everything else has been reasonably accounted for IMO. Oswald could have been lucky??
I've been to the school depository and stood in that window. It really wouldn't be a hard shot with a riffle.

After leaving office Jesse Ventura did a show where he investigated a few different popular conspiracies and one of the ones he investigated was the JFK assassination. He cited the rifle marksmanship scores that Oswald got when tested and apparently he passed the test for the lowest proficiency rating by like 2 points. I do not know where Ventura got those particular stats however so I can't say for sure they are accurate.

I do believe there were several tests done to see if the weapon itself could fire off three shots within the timeframe of a few seconds that was established by the Zapruder film and no one has been able to come close even when using snipers and sharpshooters rather than someone that was at best a fair shot.

On the show Ventura set up a shooting test too. He was just on a range so no crowd, no moving target, etc. and he couldn't fire off the three shots in the proscribed time frame. I don't think anyone would argue that Jesse Ventura is not a decent shot.

ETA: I can't find the original source to cite but apparently it states in his military records that after 3 weeks of intense marksmanship training he scored two points higher than the minimum score to qualify as a sharpshooter, the middle rating, and at some point after that was tested again and at that point, at least four years before the assassination, he tested one point above the minimum score for the lowest proficiency rating of marksmanship.

I would assume his military records would be considered verification but I can't find a link to them, just articles that cite them, and many of those are conspiracy theory sites so not exactly reliable sources.

I had never even heard about the Denver airport one....had to look it up after reading about it here. I have been to Denver Airport and all I can say is it is really out of the way from most everything!!!!

I have not read the theories about 9/11...briefly, what do people think was covered up or who do they think was responsible? My husband was working that day at the GWB and lost 37 fellow Port Authority Police Officers at the WTC (many who were friends) during 9/11 and it hit our community and family pretty hard so I am curious what these people think really happened.

Some believe that the buildings were bombed and empty airplanes driven by remote were sent into the towers and all the people who died on the planes are actually still alive and were given new identies and such. The idea is that it was our own government that wanted to go to war in the middle east to gain control over gas not terrorists.

If you, or anyone for that matter, will be in Dallas and have not seen the "scene", it is worth a visit. It may cost you a few bucks to get in, but you will be amazed. Television makes it look like a huge area, but in reality it's much, much more compact. You can look out the window at where Kennedy was shot (they used to have X's on the street, but I believe they removed) and see just how small the area is.
Heck, I stood on the grassy knoll and it was tiny. The camera makes it look like a football field.

I've not heard the one about empty planes, but yes to the ones about the buildings being blown up.
