Which car service would you prefer?

I don't know if we can actually name the car services on the boards? If not, Moderator please let me know. If so, can anyone out there tell me which one they prefer. I usually use the same one again and again, but in order to take advantage of the small coupon they offer, the reservation now has to be made online and I'd rather book with a live person.

Any suggestions? If it can't be stated on the boards can you p.m. me please?

TIA

I've booked car services online. They usually e-mail back. If it is a service you used before and trust I'd do it.

I use the same one all the time and always book online. They should give you a confirmation. TTC.... You can also call after you book and confirm

Since this post is not DVC specific, I am moving it over to our Transportation Board. Thanks all.

We have used Florida Tours the last 6 years and have not had one problem with them. They are prompt, clean and very friendly. I reserved online for r/t for pick up and return. Email was sent for confirmation and phone call was left on machine the night before we left for next day return. I have read on these boards of several good companies.

We've used Happy Limo 3x to get to PC. Always a good experience and even upgraded us for the east bound leg all 3x.
We'll be using them again in October.

I think any mentioned thus far are fine. They're all priced around the same and offer similar services. We've used Tiffany a few times in the past and had good luck with them, in fact I just reserved with them again for our upcoming trip.

We have had good luck with Happy Limo in the past.

All good suggestions. I would be comfortable using any of those.

Does anyone know if I would be better off making towncar reservations or getting a cab from MCO to Universal? Are cabs significantly cheaper/more expensive? TIA:goodvibes

I believe they run about the same. Town car driver meets you at the baggage carousel and helps you with your luggage. You have to get your bags to the taxi stand - this might be the biggest difference. Town car might be cleaner (I don't know as I have not used Orlando taxis, but just from other experiences).

A car service charges a flat rate. The taxi fare is metered, you'll pay more if there is traffic or if the driver decides to "long haul" your trip.

jmho, but I think taxi drivers drive a little more like maniacs compared to private car service. Any time I get in a cab, in any town, state or country, I end up praying for my life. :scared1:
