Hiya all,

stayin in kissimmee for 3 weeks july/august :) For one of our rest days we are thinking of a beach day which one would you reccommend?

Looking at daytona, cocoa or clearwater...any offers?

How long would it take to drive out to these beaches?

Would you even bother with a beach day or just chill out at the villa/Pool any advice :confused3
thanks sharon:disrocks:

Hi Sharon, we have just booked up at the tradewinds hotel at St Petes. Looks lovely only a couple of hours drive from Kissimmee. Havent actually been there myself but it comes highly recommended. I have been fort lauderdale (gorgeous) but we worked out that it wasn't worth the 3 or more hour drive for just one day/night. Hope this helps.

My vote would be for Clearwater too...its really lovely, well worth the drive. :sunny:

All depends what you're looking for . . . if you just want to sit/swim at the beach, then either Clearwater or St Petes would do the job as well as each other.

If you are planning on staying more than one day (ie check into a hotel for a night or two, well worth it), then we prefer St Petes, IMHO it's not quite to commercial as Clearwater.

They are both great places to visit though, even if only for the day :sunny: Don't forget your bucket and spade ;)

Another vote for Clearwater.

It is further than Cocoa and Daytona but is a much nicer beach.

We really liked Clearwater. It might be worth thinking about booking an overnight stay there to make your trip more "relaxing". You should be able to get a decentish (3 star) clean hotel very near the beach for under $80 per night.
