Which Be Our Guest ADR(s) should we keep?

Hi All, I've been lurking for the past couple weeks but decided to jump in!

We'll be heading down in April (me, my husband, and our 2.5 year old) and I originally booked two ADRs at Be Our Guest, a pre-park opening breakfast on our first day and a lunch on our last day. Today I noticed an ADR for dinner on our last day and snagged it! So now we obviously have too much BOG.

We've never been there and the three meals look pretty different so just curious for opinions on what we should keep. I'm thinking of keeping breakfast and dinner, or maybe even just dinner (I would try to get a Crystal Palace breakfast ADR for our first morning instead if I can find one). What do you guys think? Thanks!

They are different experiences and if you want to be more WOW-ed I would do Dinner first and then one of the other meals after.

Once you do it counter service ... then the dinner experience is somewhat diminished...

We have never done breakfast in the parks so I can not speak for that. However we have done Crystal Palace for dinner and BOG for lunch and dinner. BOG lunch and dinner were both great. I loved dinner because you get to meet the Beast. He does not go around to the tables but when you are done eating you stop by and see him. There was no line when We went after our dinner. We have been to Crystal Palace for dinner twice. It is not my favorite food. There just nothing special about the food. It is your typical buffet food, but I loved the Pooh Characters and they are a lot of fun.

I hope this helps.

Ideally I'd try for Crystal Palace breakfast and keep BOG for dinner. Dinner is much MUCH better IMHO. And, I love CP for breakfast- lots of options, fresh, create your own omelet station, and the character interactions are great.

Definitely keep dinner! We didn't care for lunch at all, but did dinner and it was truly amazing - food, atmosphere, experience and the Beast!! Crystal Palace breakfast is a good idea too, we love it there.

Short answer: Dinner and breakfast

Long answer: Our list trip we did breakfast, lunch and dinner (I know, I know) and we were actually pretty happy doing all three and will probably do it again this year because they offer different benefits.
  • Dinner: If we could only pick one, it would be dinner. You have the benefit of the Beast being in residence, larger food portions and wine. It's just a wonderful TS experience.
  • Breakfast: I'm one of the few people who actually really enjoyed the food for breakfast, I think. I crave the open faced egg sandwich. Plus, if you want the potential benefit of maybe getting to do 7DMT (never a guarantee, though)...
  • Lunch: Basically the same food from dinner, but it counts as a QS and it's (in my opinion) a step above all other QS options in MK. We do the dining plan (not to save money, just to pay upfront), so it's our best QS lunch option.

We have eaten all three meals at BOG with a little one in tow. I would keep your lunch or dinner (you probably don't want to do both on the same day) and try for a Crystal Palace pre-park opening breakfast to replace BOG breakfast.

Lunch: Definitely our favorite meal at BOG. The main draws at lunchtime for my family are knowing that we have a specific time and place to go eat in a well-air conditioned restaurant, with interesting food choices, that will not take the time commitment of a table service restaurant. We always place our order on-line ahead of time, so we can just go in, sit down, and wait for the food to come to us.

Dinner: We enjoyed meeting the beast, and have a fabulous picture of DD and the beast bowing and curtsying to each other. But the overall dinner experience was too boring ("adult") for her.

Breakfast: A great way to get into the park early, but pricey. The "perk" that goes along with breakfast is the possibility of an early ride on 7DMT. I don't know whether your little one is tall enough or would be interested in that. Or even if the early-ride possibility will survive the new Fantasyland morning deal. Your little one would probably have more fun at Crystal Palace meeting Pooh and Friends. You would get the same benefit of entering the park before other patrons, and lots of happy smiles.

I have done lunch twice and dinner twice and still prefer dinner. It is a little more relaxed and has a few perks - beer and wine with your meal (if you are interested) and meeting the Beast after your meal. If this is your first time, I would go with dinner; you won't be sorry :)

Thanks everyone, this has been so helpful! I think we are definitely going to keep dinner. Our daughter isn't tall enough for 7DMT so we'll probably skip it. Sounds like breakfast might not be worth it for us. I will keep checking to see if we can get a Crystal Palace ADR instead. She wasn't into Pooh until recently so it wasn't on my radar but I think she'd really enjoy it now.

I went for breakfast and dinner my last trip. We did dinner first. Since it was my first time at BOG, I was excited to see the castle and meet Beast. That's where the good stuff ended. The meal itself was a tad below OK. Breakfast was really simple. Cafeteria style food. Edible would be the word Id use. Its a good chance to see the caste, though Beast is not there for breakfast.

Rumor has it lunch is pretty decent and the best meal they serve. If you want to see Beast, you should go for dinner. If you don't care about meeting Beast, I would suggest lunch (based on rumor). If you don't care about seeing Beast or the castle, skip everything and use your credits elsewhere. The food is not good.

This is what I would do. I like Breakfast and lunch at BOG, but with a little one I would try for CP. Perhaps a little later in the morning so that you can all get a head start in the park, and then break for a late breakfast/early lunch. When my DGD was 4 we took our first family trip back to WDW, and I was able to book a lunch at CRT. I was concerned that it would break up the day too much, but it had the opposite effect. She was so enchanted with all she saw in the MK that morning she could not even concentrate on attractions, so lunch was perfect.

I absolutely adore BOG breakfast. I've done BOG dinner 2x and BOG breakfast is still my most favorite memory in the restaurant. I would keep breakfast/dinner if I were in your situation.

I've never done the lunch, only breakfast and dinner. I'm not a huge fan of BOG in general (food is just average, IMO), but it is definitely worth experiencing at least once. I would definitely keep the dinner and go for the CP breakfast.

I have been for breakfast and dinner, and I would say dinner at BOG was one of my top Disney experiences. The atmosphere is incredible, and it is quieter at dinner so you have more opportunity to really take it in. Meeting the Beast is so fun, too! I had the steak for dinner and thought it was good; if you like steak, I recommend that meal option since some people are saying they didn't like the food.

I would skip breakfast. We did it once and didn't care for it. Felt it was overpriced and not worth it. The restaurant itself is definitely worth a visit at least once, though! Crystal Palace is great for breakfast and your 2.5 yo would eat free!

I would skip breakfast. That said - I've never had the breakfast there. However the menu doesn't seem exciting to me, and I absolutely loved the lunch. Dinner was by FAR better for us, but that was because of the incredible atmosphere. I definitely say keep lunch and dinner.

I would personally drop the Breakfast. $20 per adult and subpar food. Lunch is our favorite there, they have changed the dinner menu recently also.

We are going in 15 days and I just had to make the exact same choice! We were lucky enough to get a dinner res for 8 of us just last week (by lucky I really mean because I was checking 6 times a day for weeks). So I was deciding beween ppo breakfast and lunch. I ultimately cancelled my lunch, but my kids are tall enough for 7D so the ppo time was part of the consideration. I know BOG breakfast is expensive, but with the dining plan its a decent value for quick service credits!

I would choose dinner for sure and try for a Crystal Palace breakfast! The dinner we had there was amazing and so special for your first time.
