Which Avatar ride are you picking first?

We aren't going until October 2018 and our focus will be new stuff so...three days of FP+ at AK for us. FoP twice and NRJ once with a potential for late night EMH. By that time I will have plenty of information on load times, wait times, morning waits etc. and can adjust. Wish I could do WDW more frequently but every 4 years is DH's limit as well as our budget's.

You guys are making me rethink my FP from flight of passage to river journey... :)

Me, too. I booked NRJ since I'm worried FOP might make some of us motion-sick. We figured those who wanted to ride it could go at rope drop or late at night. Now I'm second guessing that decision. :(

Does anyone know what FOP is supposed to be like? As long as it's not like the orange side of Mission Space I am good!! Rode that once before they made the calmer non spinning green side. Never again!

It will be a Soarin like theater simulator type ride but expect more movement than Soarin.

I picked FOP because it seemed more exciting. I think we're going to try to go to the extra evening hours to do the river ride.

Soarin' is about as much as I can handle (yeah, I know... ) so I'm concerned about this one. (People told me 7DDM was no big deal and it was just awful for me.) I was so concerned about Soarin' that we did not even ride it when it was new in DL... I'd hate to miss this one if it's not bad, but I'd hate to ride it if it'll make me sick. (I am extremely prone to motion sickness).

This will definitely have more motion than Soarin.

From what I saw on the "sneak peek" type videos, the ride is similar to Soarin' with 3D glasses but the ride veshicle require you to straddle a "banshee" for the full effect. Interested to see how this works.

Na'Vi River Journey bc I did not think my 5 year old would enjoy Flight of Passage.
My DH and DD12 will try and RD Flight of Passage.

No one really knows what it will be like to secure these rides until it opens. Then all of us June/July people will be freaking out when we see how we booked was NOT GOOD. LOL

True. We really won't know anything until people have ridden them and can report back. In the meantime, I think I'm going to go with my gut and pick FOP with the intent to ride NRJ standby, but I'll try to change it if I read anything later that makes me change my mind about that choice.

As far as what FOP will be like, I picture it being a cross between Soarin' and Star Tours as far as the experience/thrill-level.

That's what I was thinking!

Does anyone know if there is a warning for FOP for back problems? I know there is a height restriction. I think when you book your FP+ it tells you of any warnings like that.

The 3D part will be what will effect most people that are prone to motion sickness.

I am fine on Soarin but Star Tours no thanks, makes me ill

I booked River Journey and hope to EMH the other, as not everyone in my family will want to ride it. I think. This not knowing is making it difficult! But with 7am EMH and 1:00am closing, will be taking advantage of those somehow during the trip.

This is me as well. Hoping it's more like Soarin' with non-circular movement and less like Star Tours. (If the former, at least I can close my eyes if it gets bad.)
