I'm stuck between the Southern California Annual Pass, which has 215 pre-selected dates, and the Deluxe Annual Pass, which has 320 pre-selected dates. The cost difference is $90 because they post would include parking.

Help! I go tomorrow!

Well, why not start with the So Cal and if you find it too restrictive upgrade later to the Deluxe. Your year won't start over, but you'll just pay the $90 difference.

I can do that? I wasn't sure if once you upgrade that would be it. Well that sounds good and even if go once during the blockout dates I still get a ticket for $40 bucks. So I could go twice during blockout and it would still be cheaper than the deluxe.

Thanks a lot!

I think that you'll find that there are a lot of blockout dates on the SoCal pass, so depending on how often you go (and what days you're available), you'll probably want to go on blocked days more than twice. With the SoCal, you're essentially blocked out all summer and on the weekends.

You are also not eligible for parking on the days that you are blacked out, even if you pay the $40.

I've already looked at the SoCal Pass (not select) and I'm able to go all the days I've planned so far this year (4/7, 4/24-4/25, 5/9, 6/1, & 11/2) It's actually a very pleasant coincidence. I'm going to add on parking, too.

As for the blockout dates, I really don't want to go in the middle of summer nor Saturdays in non-peak times because it's really crowded. Plus I'll be working all summer. If need be, I'll just upgrade to Deluxe.

Thanks for your input!:goodvibes

I was originally going to go with the socal select, but realized that I would want to go on a lot of the blockout dates. It has no weekend available, and I knew there would be some point that I would want to go on a weekend. Plus I get 10% food, and 10% in most places in downtown disney!
