Which Animal Kingdom show?

Flights of Wonder is a good show but it was sweltering hot the last time we saw it. Finding Nemo is Broadway quality musical theater with original music. In our opinion it is probably the best quality live show at WDW. We always see Finding Nemo. We will see Flights of Wonder if we happen to be close to the theater around show time and have the time. We have seen Festival of the Lion King a couple of times and weren't that impressed. Maybe we will give it another try now that it is in its new theater.
This is the beauty if WDW. There is such a variety of things to do that everyone can find something that appeals to them. I always urge people to try everything at least once rather than just going by what they hear from others. We discovered things that we really enjoy after trying them, even against popular opinion.
Cheers!!!

They're all good. IMO Lion King and Nemo are comparable. Flights of Wonder a close second.

We have never done FOW, it is on our list for August. As far as Nemo, we actually left about 1/2 way through and have never been back. I would vote for FOW.

I definitely enjoy Flights of Wonder. Its much less of an investment in time. For one thing, you don't need to show up early, just sit down and enjoy it.

Flights of Wonder.

I am not a big thrill ride person and I don't like to get dunked in water during my day at a theme park, so I tend to plan my day around making sure we can see FoW while maximizing our chances of doing most of the other things.

The first time we went we were literally killing time and expected "just a bird show." We were more than pleasantly surprised. It is educational, funny, entertaining, and you really do get up close and personal with the birds even if you don't get picked as one of the volunteers. It isn't just your typical bird handler walking around with a bird on his or her arm telling you boring facts in a monotone voice. There is kind of a funny storyline within the show that makes learning about the birds fun and more memorable.

Highly suggest trying it out now that it's got a theater designed with the show in mind. It is truly a spectacle. We never miss it. But we never miss any of the AK shows. We love them all.

Finally starting to complete my plans but I'm struggling with Animal Kingdom. Mainly because we won't have the full day and there's a lot we want to do :/ I'm basically trying to decide if we should see the Finding Nemo show or Flights of Wonder. My siblings are of no help (one wants both the other doesn't care) and I'm trying to plan for the whole family. Parents, siblings and I age 20 and younger siblings ages 14 and 10. I've gone before but haven't seen either and Lion King is already on our list. Which one do you prefer and which one would you suggest to first timers?

For a group with adults and older teenage kids like yours, I recommend FoW over Nemo (but you will enjoy either one).

Gosh, I never knew people didn't like Nemo. I think it's brilliant and it's a must do for us. There is nothing like it anywhere else.
There are bird shows elsewhere. Though we love FOW too.
Any reason not to do both?

Time constraint :/ We only have half the day and between the trails, rides and characters we've chosen to do that only leaves room for one other show. My pick was Lion King so that's already on our must-do list. Maybe if time is really nice to us we can squeeze the other in ;)

Ah, makes sense. There is a lot to do, when you start looking at it all.

In your case I would pick Nemo but only slightly above FOW. I really don't think you can go wrong as both shows are enjoyable.

But clearly Nemo isn't for everyone. I find the puppet controllers fascinating and love the way they are part of the performance, but not at the same time.

I am really surprised by many of the answers here, since they are so different from the way I have felt . Lion King is a must-do every trip (though I hate sitting on bleachers)! We have seen Nemo a few times, but it's usually left for later in the day if we have time. I think the quality is Broadway and DD(23) and I were just talking about how good it is yesterday. I have only seen FoW twice and thought it was good, but I don't recall "loving" it. I feel like it's something I've seen at other "parks". I also see some pretty amazing birds in my neighborhood though, granted they don't do tricks :) I guess I will have to give it another try.

if you have to choose between those two, Nemo hands down no questions asked. always gives me goosebumps during the "go with the flow" song. that actor is an amazing singer.

FotLK is a unique story telling based on characters, Nemo is a retelling of same story in a different way, FoW is completely different using live birds combined with a story. We, too, used to skip FoW as we have seen the bird show at Grant's Farm (STL MO) many times and assumed it was similar. FoW is its own unique show done Disney style and definitely a keeper on the "must see" list. FotLK is the top show in all the World so far-it is that good. Nemo, for us, is very good but ranked below the other 2 in AK.

I dont want to take over your thread but I hope you dont mind if I ask which show should we choose between the Lion King Show and Flights of Wonder?

Lion King, without a doubt. My fav show in all of WDW.

Wow, I'm surprised to see all this love for FoW. I'm a former FoW CM. I agree it is a great show but often overlooked. I agree FoLK is the must do. We will usually do Nemo after that simply because I have young kids. If our kids weren't so young and didn't love Nemo, we would probably do FoW instead.
