Which Adults Really Get Into the FUN?

I'll have to see if my husband has scans of the day we decided to wear silly hats and run all over the Magic Kingdom getting our pictures taken. I wore a Stitch ears, and he had a monorail running through his head. We definitely were like two silly little kids, all excited to see how each photo came out.

I'll do silly stuff like see how many times in a row I can ride my favorite rides. I think 14 is the most I've ever managed on Soarin' before the line got bad. We do an occasional character meal too, just for the heck of it. Next on tap is the one with Cinderella and her step sisters at GF.

Before I go with my friend next September, I'm taking her 7-year-old son (my godson) next month. I'm hoping to get the chance to ride all the Fantasyland rides that my nieces (at 10 and 11 during their trips) and even his sister (who turned 9 during her trip) weren't that interested in. I don't think I've ever been on Dumbo. But if he isn't interested, there's always his mother next September.

My dad said that to me one night during an EMH. 10 minutes later he was flying with the elephants. I'm his enabler (of fun).

It's a really short ride (90 seconds) but fun. I'd do it if it were accessble (I'm hoping the FantasyLand expansion will give us some wheelchair accessible Dumbos).

If you can manage it, one of the best times to ride is during the fireworks show. You spin and spin and fireworks go off over your head.

Otherwise stick to EMH when all the kiddies tire out. Best part about being an adult-sized kid is that you don't have early bedtimes.

Couple years ago, my sis and I ran off for evening EMH one night (leaving the daddies with the kids). We had a blast. Now she wants to do that every trip.

You just need someone to share your insanity - an enabler. Kids are such a downer. Teens think they're so cool, and their parents are buzz kills. If they only realized how often they get in the way of our fun. Kids are great when they're little, but somewhere around 12 or 13, something goes horribly wrong. And it takes DECADES before they're any fun again.

OMG this is so true. Our kids are teens now and they won't even run to get the fast passes now. And they no longer want to ride the Tea Cups.

Any way have a plast enjoy it. Get Autograph books and take picture with all the characters.

My friend and I are going for her first trip in February - she'll be 56 and I'm 40, and our theme for the trip is "you're never too old to be a princess!"

We're having breakfast with Cinderella (in tiaras) and at Chef Mickey's, will wear mouse ears, have tea, get pics with all the characters...I can't wait!

I went with my husband (and my sister's family) in July and it was definitely an "adult" trip for us. I mean, it was a ton of fun but with my friend it will be totally different and neither one of us can wait to be "big kids" all week long!

(Although we did wonder if we could request plus-sized fairies and princesses so we would look skinnier in the pictures).

I say go for it. Everyone is a kid at Disney World. I would definite do it if I thought about it. It would be sooooo much fun to do when you have a friend to go to the tea party with you. I think I am going to have to plan an all adult girls trip and we'll do all the things we plan for the young ones. Bibbidy Bobbidy Boutique here I come! By the way I'm 57.

By then I'll be 46, and my friend will have just turned 48. And we are going to have breakfast with Cinderella...maybe we should "prepare" ourselves...to be presentable and all...

Oh, and Scraper, if you want your kids to go on the teacups with you, do what I do - tell them there's NO WAY they're going to drag you on those horrible tea cups. Anything else, just not those AWFUL teacups!!! Works like a charm.

ME!! Ok actually I don't act like an adult....ever. It's probably why I get the whole "your my favorite teacher" a lot I loved doing the 'kiddie' rides this summer. Evening EMH opens up a whole new world of randomness! We did a lot of character meals, and next time we're going to do the Hoop-dee-do and WCC just for fun. I like being loud :-D I also love doing character meets, and even made an autograph book!

I'd totally do the whole dressing up for tea at the GF! I may have to look into that!!

All I have to say is "Thank you, Mr. Disney, for giving adults someplace where they be a kid again." It still gets me when my grown kids or husband, myself included are excited about getting on our first ride for the day or which character we will be seeing and getting our picture with today. Anyway, have fun, that's what it is all about. (Dressing up great too.) Enjoy the Magic. I know we will in a little over 2 wks.

We're doing another "ladies only" trip to WDW in April. Only 5 of us so far- but we do tend to act like kids when there. Last ladies' trip to WDW was about 5 years ago, and I still have the blackmail photos and videos.

Taking the kids in 30 days but I've already told DH that all I want for my 50th (ok, in 5 years, but still) is an adult-only trip, just him and me If we can't dream big about Disney, then what?????

I am soo excited to get into the fun of Disney again. I am taking my sister (she is 23 and I am 27) next September for 2 weeks for a surprise christmas and birthday present and finding it hard to not tell her about it yet because I am already so excited to get into the fun of it and plan our outfits for MNSSHP. I'm so excited to get into the swing of being a Disney Kid again!!

Oh Yeah I acted like a kid when I was kid and I still act like a kid now and I will probably be a kid in my future. No doubt you gotta have fun, I remember a few years ago we went for X-mas and I had on the Goofy santa hat and I was wishing anybody that passed by or saw CM's and tourists alike to have a Goofy X-mas. On our last trip we were on the bus and the driver noticed I was wearing a Dallas Cowboys jersey and he told me that we were gonna play tuck and roll. I was to stand at the back door and lean on it and he was gonna make a hard left and open the doors and when that happened the game was on. In my signature you can see that I am a Tuck and Roll Champion. If you cant have fun in WDW where else can you?

When I was a kid, I was an old lady. I worried about people looking at me disapprovingly, and always worried about "getting in trouble". Or doing the wrong thing. Maybe no one thought I was nuts, but I never had any fun either.

Now, let 'em think I'm nuts!
