Which 3 part split-stay would you do?

I'm one of those crazy people who actually LIKES switching hotels throughout the trip. I consider it an adventure- especially at Disney where it is so easy.

So I'm going for 5 nights in March- and have two options.

Option One:

2 Nights AKL
2 Nights BLT
1 Night Poly

Pros:

Poly is my favorite resort
2 nights at BLT would be a very nice thing
We will be eating at Jiko

Cons:

I'm not a huge AKL fan (but it's cheaper than the other deluxes)
It's 100ish more than the other option
I would have to pay ridiculously for Polynesian- which would hurt my soul.

Option Two:

2 Nights WL
2 Nights BC
1 Night BLT

Pros:

I love Wilderness- a lot more than AKL for location and theming
100.00 cheaper than the other option

Cons:

I'm only so so on BC- being from New England- it feels too much like home.
No Polynesian! :(

HELP!!!! What would you do??

Ps. I purposefully have tried to mix different themes. I like each resort to have a very different feel.

How about BLT, Poly and WL? Those seem to be the resorts you like, and you will be moving hotels so much, what's a little extra time getting to Epcot or AK or DHS if you are in the hotels you adore at the end of the day?

Yes, do WL, Poly, and BLT. You can eat dinner at Jiko's so at least you get to experience AKL!!

I like that combo but it would be quite high price wise :( That's the main issue with it- but otherwise yes it would be ideal hah! Definitely something to consider.

Thanks!

Go with the first option then. I am like you. My heart's with the Poly!!

I would do 3 nights BLT and 2 nights AKL savannah view. We did this split and it was amazing! We were Poly people before this trip and we didn't miss it at all....

What if you did option 2 but instead of BC tried BWI? The theming would be a bit different but same location. Alternatively, you could justify BC solely for the pool.

My vote is for option #1. We've never stayed at BLT and although the Poly is our favorite, we do love AKL. We have stayed at the BC and while we had a nice stay and liked the resort, I would choose Poly and AKL over it.

I would vote for #1 simply because it gives you most time at BLT. We stayed there for the first time on our last trip. We were previously BWV and BCV lovers (with OKW not far behind). BLT knocked our socks off!! Everyone in our 6person family loved it (which is hard to do)!

I vote option #2! When we do split stays, we based it off of what parks we plan on going to. For instance, we'll do BLT for the 2 days we go to MK and eat at all of the monorail resort restaurants and then head over to BCV or BWV when we go to HS and Epcot. We do our split stay that way to minimize using buses to the parks, so that it's easier to come and go as we please.

You could stay at BWI like the PP mentioned in place of BC but it will still give you the close proximity to Epcot and HS.
I guess it all depends on personal preference and which resorts you like more!

Thanks guys! It ended up being impossible to rent DVC points for where I wanted- so I went ahead and instead did a slightly cheaper 3 day split stay- 4 nights coronado, 1 night BLT, and 1 night Poly. Paying 550.00 for each of those 2 deluxes makes me want to throw up a bit- but its the week of my birthday- so happy birthday to me I suppose! :) Should be amazing!

I would vote for something along these lines. whatever you do I would include at least one night at AKL if you're eating at Jiko. I say that because you are doing 3 resorts in 5 days so it would cut down on travel and make the jiko night very relaxing.

I love the Polynesian but really hate the idea of trying to save money by staying at AKL and then paying rack rate at Polynesian. its so expensive at rack rate, construction is going on and one night is less then 24 hours which just bothers me for your trip.

what about 2 nights blt, 2 nights akl and 2 nights bc or yc? (or cut akl or bc/yc down to 1 night if 5 nights is really your limit for whatever reason)

have fun!

I'd probably pick option 1! I'd loveee to stay at the Poly.

But if it were me playing around with these same resorts...I'd do something like: Poly, beach club, wilderness?

Or poly, AKL, WL?

sorry didn't see this! sounds like a great trip, have a happy birthday! :)

Is staying one night at an amazing hotel worth it? Maybe plan on spending the 4 nights you're at CSR at the parks and then enjoy the the other single nights at the resort? You definitely want to enjoy the amenities the Poly has to offer!

From my past experience- absolutely! :) We'll do the first 4 days more park heavy- and the final two days less park heavy. We are both ex cast members so get a bit bored of the parks after awhile and just enjoy the hotels.

I'm sorry the DVC rental didn't work out, but I'm sure you will have a very magical birthday trip :wizard:. The Poly rates are pretty steep, but it's an amazing resort with a beautiful atmosphere that is hard to beat (IMO) :goodvibes.

I know paying for Poly kills me- but there is something about it that can't be replaced. Thanks for the kind post!
