This is the first time I didn't get home from the world and immediately wish I was back again. LOL! I think after 2 days home in the car with all our misadventures (did I mention the oldest child was sick to his stomach and vomiting into a ziploc bag right behind me?) I was just so glad to be home.
Of course, now that it's been a few weeks I'm fully in that "three weeks ago I was riding Splash Mountain" frame of mind. But that's good because I finally got my butt in gear and created/ordered photo memory books of our trip. I did one for each of the younger kids in 5x7 size and a hardcover 8x10 photo book documenting the family trip. The oldest child was "too cool" to be in many photos, but I will give him the free 5x7 of the family book that comes with the bigger one, so he will also have a book to remember his trip.
Now, I just need to organize the photos to print out on full sheets of label paper to put in the autograph books for the younger ones. Basically, I print out a picture of them meeting that character and stick it in the book opposite of the autograph. That way they have a visual memory to go with the autograph. Plus, we make our own books and the kid pick what they want on the cover - so we have some great shots this year of the characters getting a kick out of seeing themselves on the cover, in one case crying because he WASN'T on the cover, or in Pluto's case getting so excited that he actually SIGNED the cover because he thought it was so cool. Lots of fun!
