'Where's your prince' and will this tale end 'happily ever after'? Sept 11 - Complete

Great shots around Pop! When we stayed there in 2005 and 2006 we too used those stairs everyday!
It's such a great resort with so much to see!

Great shots at Epcot too! Isn't Illuminations fantastic! One of my favorites! Chips from the UK....pure :cloud9:

Thanks! I loved walking up and down those stairs and being able to see far out around the resort. It was wierd because although it looked like a bowling pin from the outside once you were climbing them it didn't feel like you were inside a bowling pin!
I have to agree in it being a great resort with lots to see.

Thanks - I LOVED Illuminations!!! Wish I could watch it right now...well I could from the videos we got but it's not the same as actually being there. I am soo happy I went back to the UK to get me some chips as they did make me feel like I was on :cloud9:

I love all of the details at POP, its so fun!!

I have never eaten at Morocco, but it never has sounded like something that really appealed to me. Now the pavilion itself, is beautiful!! :goodvibes

Thanks - I have to agree in that POP is soo much fun and the the details that have gone into the resort make it that way! :thumbsup2

If the food doesn't sound like something that appeals to you don't try it!!! :rotfl: I wish I had gone with my gut feeling and just ordered from somewhere else instead. Although the food is not much to rave about the pavillion itself is amazing! :lovestruc

You have such fun pictures. I really like all the ones that are sort of tilted. It's a neat perspective!

Thanks! I loved wondering around Pop and taking all the pics.

How many times did you see Illuminations on this trip? We didn't see it at all :confused3

Haha I saw it on plenty of occasions and it still didn't feel like too many!! :rotfl: Oh no on not seeing it at all...hope you get to see it in October.

Good pictures of Pop. I never got around to seeing the other buildings of the resort (the place is just so big!) so it was nice to see what some of the other spots looked like.

Great choice on nighttime show. IllumiNations is so nice, and Epcot at night can be very relaxing.

I'm looking forward to hearing about DisneyQuest, I've been curious about it for awhile.

I can't believe you had the energy to watch a movie some evenings! When I get back the resort at night I practically fall in to bed and sleep right away!

Thanks! I was the same...never got around to seeing the other buildings but love seeing pics that other DISers have taken on here.

I loved spending our evenings at Epcot..it's just so nice and the atmosphere is completely different then that during the day :thumbsup2

Disney Quest will be coming up soon though I wasn't a massive fan of the place.

LOL I normally watch tv to relax at home before going to sleep so think it has become a habit to watch something before I call it a night! There were some evenings where I did fall asleep the minute my head touched the pillow but some other times surprisingly I still had some energy left!!

Another great update!
I've been to WDW 5 times now, and I STILL make a list that's too ambitious for me! hahaha, I'll never learn! Glad you got some items checked off yours!

Great update!

I especially love the picture of Italy in the dusk, so pretty with the lights on the water.

Morocco is one of my favorite pavilions, it's so lovely and pretty, but I'll admit we haven't tried the food there (just the coffee) so I can't speak to it. We will probably have to stop off at the fish and chip counter in the UK on our next trip, I'm really rather bummed we didn't get to try them!:sad1:

Looking forward to more!:thumbsup2

Thanks Wendy! Haha I don't think any of us ever will! I've always been told it's better to make an ambitious list and not do everything then make a small list which means you get everything done too quickly! :lmao:

Thanks! I loved getting the evening shots as they look completely different to the pics with the sun shining. I had to go back to have a look at the shot you meant (my memory is slowly failing me! :lmao:) and agree in the the lights make the water look pretty.

I haven't read many positive reviews of the Moroccon food at WS however everyone has different tastes so you may like it. I hope you get to stop at the fish and chip counter next trip as the chips were amazing...I will definitely be making sure I get my fix on a future trip.

Great updates :thumbsup2

Loving your Epcot pics, we're the same when we go to the UK Pavillion, we like hearing someone from home and chatting about stuff here :)

Thanks! :)

It sure is comforting hearing that UK accent and being able to chat about things back home :)

I woke up for 9am on this day and went to Everything Pop - Zaheer decided to sleep some more. I got a chocolate croissant with coffee and read my notes so far whilst enjoying my breakfast.

Zaheer met me afterwards and decided he wanted to eat at DTD. We took a bus to Market Place and headed to Wolfgang Puck Express. Zaheer got a vegetable pizza with the creme brulee. I wasn't feeling too good (think the heat was getting to me) so stuck with some water.

After eating we headed to Pleasure Island to explore Disney Quest. We stopped in Candy Cauldron and Magic Masters along the way.

I wanted to buy something but couldn't decide so left empty handed :confused3

Zaheer wanted some pics on the Harley Davidson:

We went on Jungle Cruise at DQ on which I was useless and couldn't control the boat! :rotfl: We then decided to wear a different helmet for Pirates of the Caribbean. I enjoyed this a lot more as it included Captain Jack Sparrow ;)

DSCF1505-1.jpg

The helmet practically covers my face! :lmao:

After we were done collecting jewels and throwing cannons we went to the second level and played this jeep game where you went on different adventures and killed things to survive. I didn't think much of the game and got bored after playing for a short time. Zaheer enjoyed this place a lot more than me.

After playing an interactive car racing game with other players in which I was pretty impressed to have come 3rd until I learnt that Zaheer came 1st I decided to leave Disney Quest. Zaheer wanted to play another couple of games so I left him to it. I had to wait quite a while for a bus (think it was about 20 mins) and just as I was boarding the bus Zaheer caught up with me.

Once we got to Pop I rested whilst Zaheer went swimming. We got ready and got a bus to DHS where we took some pics with Lightening McQueen and Mater topiaries.

We took the boat to Yacht Club and got some pics along the way. I love the Epcot resorts...they look so pretty and I would love to be able to walk to Epcot/DHS during a trip.

We took some pics with the globe before getting seated.

We both ordered the three course option. I had the Lump Crab Cakes as an appetiser (which were very yummy) and Zaheer ordered a salad which he enjoyed. We both got the market fish as an entree which was good but I had tasted better fish during the trip.

I got some strawberry gelato for dessert which was okay but just ice cream! Zaheer ordered the chocolate terrine - I had a sneaky bite and it was okay but I probably wouldn't have enjoyed it.

The plan after dinner was to watch Fantasmic however when we got to the lobby we noticed it was pouring outside. We waited for the rain to calm down however it was not happening. We decided to skip the show and head back to the resort instead. We got the bus to DTD. I wasn't sure why we did that when we could have got a bus from Epcot/DHS however Zaheer stopped off at Disney Quest again (he obviously loved this place a lot!) so I guess that's the reason we took the DTD route. I carried onto Pop (the same bus was going to the resort), wrote in my journal and watched some television - I didn't note what I watched on this day!

Coming next: MNSSHP!

I'm glad you enjoyed DQ so much! I haven't been there in years, and we never did any of the virtual reality stuff because the lines were so long! That helmet is huge!! :3dglasses

That stinks that you missed Fantsmic, but how fortunate that you weren't seated waiting for the show when the skies opened!

I too love the boat ride from HS to Yacht and Beach. Actually, we took that ride in the summer and passing the boardwalk and seeing BC caused me to miss the resorts greatly. Which is why we are staying at BC in a week!

I am looking forward to running around the boardwalk area. (I just have to figure out how on earth to fit it in. The morning would be best, but I just don't know if I can pull myself out of bed at 5 to run...) I am worried that if I plan for it in the afternoon (when I like to run), I will be running around tons of people...

Thanks - I thought DQ was fun but probably wouldn't rush to return!

The lines were okay the times we visited however we did go one evening when we waited quite a bit for the Buzz Lightyear Spin Blaster game. LOL that helmet is MASSIVE!!! :rotfl2:

It sure does stink...it's the only nighttime show we didn't get to see and I so wanted to watch it. Oh well another thing to add to the list for the potential 2013 trip! I thought the exact same thing...it was lucky we weren't at DHS waiting in the Fantasmic queue.

The boat ride is fun and a relaxing way to get from the parks to the Epcot resorts. I fell in love with Beach Club which will be coming up later on in the TR and can't wait to stay there..that's another wish I'm hoping to fulfil in 2013  Enjoy your stay here in a week!! :woohoo:

Wow running at 5am on vacation = :worship: I could never do that though the boardwalk run does sound appealing. I think an afternoon run will also mean tons of people...looking forward to hearing how that works out for you.

Men/boys do love Disney Quest. I've been fortunate and we've not been back since the year they opened. I was a bad mommy and told my kids it didn't go over well and was closed. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Your dinner looks yummy. Was that Captain's Grille?

I can see how Zaheer enjoyed DQ more than you. It seems to be more of a video game person's place. I'm sure if DH and I went, I would get bored quickly, and DH would spend the entire day there. :rotfl:

I agree, Epcot resorts are so nice. They just look so peaceful and relaxing. And to be able to walk to Epcot....

I think skipping fantasmic because of the rain was a good choice. It's a great show, but not worth dealing with the rain.

I think I'm with you. I wouldn't have enjoyed DQ, I don't really care for those sorts games, in fact neither does my family. Plus, that you have to pay extra is what turns us off.

I remember the rain! We got it on the way to WL. I'm just glad it really didn't interfer with the trip too much!

MNSSHP! YAY! DIS meet time!

Your dinner looks really yummy! I love crab cakes.

I agree that POC is a better virtual ride than the jungle cruise. It's a lot more fun and a lot more virtual. I think guys just love that place way more than girls, but it is a great place to go when you can't stand the heat anymore.

Too bad about fantasmic, but its always nice to go with the flow.

I know what you mean about the heat getting to you. Three years ago we where there in June and on the last day I told Denny that I had to spend the entire day IN air conditioning. I was that sick of the heat.

They sure do, don't they? Lucky you!! :rotfl:

:lmao: at telling your kids the place was closed...I would totally have done the same thing!!!

Thanks - that sure was Captain's Grille. I keep forgetting to include restaurant names when talking about food...will have to get better at that!

Yeah, I think I knew before we even experienced DQ that Zaheer would enjoy it more than me...it sure is heaven for someone who enjoys video games or arcades! LOL yes I agree in if that you guys went you would get bored and DH would want to spend the entire day there!! Just have a back up plan in place...such as visiting the cafe or relaxing at the resort instead ;)

I am sooo looking forward to the day when I get to stay at an Epcot resort! :cloud9: I hope I still get to see Fantasmic one day but am glad we didn't deal with the rain because of the show.

You are lucky in that your family doesn't really care for arcade games :thumbsup2 I think I'll be okay on the next trip and won't have to spend lots of time here. I paid for the water parks more than DQ but since it was included in the price it was worth a visit.

Yeah, we were lucky for most of the trip apart from this day and another evening coming up where I did brave the rain for a nighttime show.

DIS meet...I have no idea what you could be referring to!! :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

Yeah I agree with your view of POC...it is so much more fun! I definitely knew that Zaheer would enjoy this place more than me before we had even stepped foot in here. I think this place may have been the reason I was feeling better later on in the day as the heat was getting to me beforehand.

Oh no on having to spend an entire day in air conditioning...the heat must have been unbearable at that time of year. Although I am looking forward to returning during the school holidays on my next trip I am already worrying about the weather! :scared1: September was doable but I have heard lots about the heat in August.

Yummy looking dinner :) Glad you had fun at DQ :)

Thanks :) I did enjoy DQ but just not as much as Zaheer!
