'Where's your prince' and will this tale end 'happily ever after'? Sept 11 - Complete

On our way from China to Germany we saw Mulan but the line was very long so we took a pic from afar and carried on.

462-1.jpg

We headed to Germany and of course our first stop had to be Karamelle Kuche This place was a beauty and I was really having a hard time over what to choose...if only I could have a little bit of everything! :rotfl:

467-2.jpg

In the end I went with the caramel cupcake which was nice. I was so tempted to get the caramel popcorn as well.

We spent some time by the train track and loved the miniature version. I think we could have happily spent quite a bit of time just standing here and taking in our surroundings.

470-1.jpg

However, we eventually decided to move on to Italy. I loved walking out of one country and straight into a completely different one.

474-1.jpg

I browsed the shops in Italy and then we took a seat as Sergio was about to perform. I had heard about him and wanted to see his show. I thought it was great and very funny.

478-1.jpg

America was next and we had a look in the shop. I knew I couldn't leave without getting an American Dream.

483-1.jpg

I had seen it on these boards and knew it was ideal for a hot day and definitely worth a snack credit. I tried it and loved this treat. I enjoy slushies anyway so two different flavours with ice cream in the middle was an absolute dream :cloud9: I didn't see much of it after I handed it to Zaheer...big mistake on my part! Once he had a taste there was no way I was seeing this treat again  I am definitely getting one of my own on my next trip.

482-1.jpg

We browsed the shops in Japan and noticed that Miyuki was doing her demonstrations. We stopped to watch and I have to say I was amazed in how she took candy and made it into animals. She made a monkey out of nothing whilst we were there.

Morocoo was next and I loved the bazaars. I could have happily spent quite a bit of time in this country however I still wanted to meet Belle and Beast as well as Marie before our dinner. I did look to see if Aladdin was about but there was no sign of him

487-1.jpg

On entering France we saw the line for Belle and Beast. It wasn't that long so we got in it and waited. Belle did her meet and greets with those who didn't mind missing out on seeing Beast. She then came to our line and signed autograph books. She was very sweet and spent quite a bit of time talking with everyone.

Beast arrived and people were getting their photos taken. The couple in front of us decided to split and take one photo each with both characters and then one of the both of them. We thought that was a good idea but the CMs must have noticed that everyone had the same idea and said that it was to be group shots only and no splitting up! Oh well we got a shot of the both of us and I loved meeting Beast. He was such a sweetie.

489-1.jpg

It was then time to wait for Marie. It was a bit confusing as there was no line or notice saying what time she would be appearing. Princess Aurora was out so I went to speak with her CM who wasn't much help at all. We decided to wait on a bench for a bit and if Marie didn't appear to decide what to do next. I took a couple of photos whilst waiting.

490-1.jpg
491-1.jpg

We waited about 5-10 minutes when people started creating a line so we claimed our spot and waited some more. Finally Marie appeared and people started meeting with her. When it came to our time I tagged Marie and told her it was from Duffy. The CM laughed and as a result we got longer with Marie. The CM took quite a few photos and then mentioned if Duffy had asked us to tag anyone else. I said no and asked if there were others involved in the game. She explained that it was an ongoing thing between quite a few of them and even face characters such as Belle got involved in the act.

We rushed through UK and Canada as it was nearly time for our dinner. I do return at a later date to explore these countries in detail.

Coming next: Dinner with the Princesses (sorry I didn't include that in this update but I thought it deserved it's own post) and would we dare ride orange side of Mission Space?

I love the characters at Epcot. Marie freaks me out... how the heck do they keep her fur so white when people are touching her all day?!?!?

I love that you found Marie and continued the tag game! I guess they discovered that was a fun way to spend the day :)

Yay more World Showcase! :thumbsup2

Mmm that slush thing looks SO good! I can see why it was stolen from you!

Great picture with Beauty and the Beast!

Awww, Marie, I love her! That tagging game sounds like so much fun, I wish I would get to tag one of the characters! :rotfl:

I just love wandering around World Showcase. Definitely one of my favorite ways to spend the day.

That American Dream slushie is a new one for me! I've never heard of it before. I may have to try that.....:thumbsup2

Great pictures, those are all characters I really wanted to meet but the line was just so long each time, Marie is just too cute!! and I love that they play tag :goodvibes

I'm very jealous that you got to meet Beast! He's one of the characters I want to meet one day.

That's awesome that you tagged Marie. It's funny seeing CMs have fun with their jobs.

Wandering around Epcot is so nice and relaxing. Always a highlight of my trips. And I probably would've been mean and not even let someone else taste my American Dream.

Kadence just loves your Marie photos! She's one of her favortie characters, as she's so soft and cute!:lovestruc

No fair that you didn't get to enjoy your American Dream drink! I would've made him go back and get me one!:lmao:

The characters sure are great! Hahaha on Marie freaking you out though you do have a point about her fur staying so clean when so many people have been touching it all day. I may think twice before going in for a hug next time!

Thanks - I loved tagging Marie! :cutie: I guess the characters found that made their day that bit more fun.

Yay more World Showcase! :thumbsup2

I loved WS and could happily spend lots of time here!

I know, once I handed it over I regretted it straight away and the next thing I see is an empty cup!

Thanks, I loved meeting Beauty, Beast and Marie. It was so much fun to be involved in the tagging game and made me feel like I knew a secret! :rotfl: Maybe on your next trip you'll be able to tag a character - it'd be so cool to be able to do that on your Christmas trip.

Oh, definitely one of my favourite things to do as well and I quickly discovered that it's even better touring on your own and not having to take into account anybody else!

Ooh definitely try that American Dream slushie - it's amazing! I only found out about it because of reading about it on another TR.

Thanks, we were pretty lucky with lines on this day - they were not long at all! :thumbsup2 I agree in Marie being very cute and I loved finding out that the characters play tag as well :goodvibes

I hope you get to meet Beast as he was an absolute sweetie and even recognised my pin. Zaheer wanted to stand with him but I was so not letting that happen! If they had let us take more than one picture we would have switched sides as I like Belle as well.

That was fun to see and be able to do.

Epcot sure is nice and relaxing - also don't worry I have learnt my lesson! No one is ever coming between me and my American Dream again!! :rotfl:

Aaw thank you Kadence! :goodvibes She's one of my favourite characters as well and I'm glad we waited for her :thumbsup2

Not fair at all! Why didn't I think of that? :rotfl2:

Another super cute shirt!!!! Love your picture with Marie! What a great afternoon in Epcot, but you never should have given up that read, white, and blue slushie. That thing looks yummy and I've never seen one before. Have I been under a rock? :confused3

Great update, Tanz. I love time at World Showcase...so much to see and do. All the photos are great; but I especially like the one with Belle and Beast.

Belle is my favorite- and I don't think I knew Beast was with her sometimes! must do on my next trip!

Aaw thanks Mary Ellen!! I loved our afternoon and definitely shouldn't have let that red, white and blue slushie out of my sight! It was very yummy and refreshing - I loved it! I read about it on Amy's (onescgirl) TR a while ago and knew then that I needed to try one. You'll definitely have to get one on your upcoming trip and take some pics of it for me to enjoy as well :goodvibes

Thanks Kathy - I agree that there is so much to see and do at WS. I think it's one of them places that you could never tire of and there will always be something new to explore.

Aaw thanks - I like that shot with Belle and Beast as well :goodvibes

Belle is my favorite- and I don't think I knew Beast was with her sometimes! must do on my next trip!

Belle and Beast are my favourite as well - I can't wait for the Fantasyland expansion to be complete so I can attend the new restaurant. Yeah, in France they have the times listed of Belle on her own and then the times Beast will be with her. You then have a choice of which queue you want to wait in. I hope you get to meet them both on your next trip.

Oh my gosh, I disappear again and look what I miss!
First, I'm so sorry to hear about Zaheer and yourself. I'm sending you a digital hug now and my sincere apologies that it's so late. I hope you're feeling better now.
Second, sounds like a great day shopping, and I'm glad you enjoyed Boma!
Third, LOVE the Epcot day, but I just love that park anyway. I'm so jealous that you met Belle and the Beast!!

I want to stand in line to meet characters so I can get in on a good game of tag!! How fun!

I have to work the caramel shop into my touring plans! DH will love the caramel corn. :goodvibes

Well I just found out about the tours of the Harry Potter sets in London next year so I'll definitely be coming over. I can't let this opportunity pass me by!

Hi Hon!

Great shots of WS and sounds like a great time! I have never heard of that treat you had in America but it's on my list for next trip too:thumbsup2

I have gotten behind again and with Christmas fast approaching and year end coming at work, I don't see this changing until the new year:lmao: Hope you are well my friend!

Lol, yes you definitely missed a lot! :rotfl2: I'm happy to see you back.
Aaw thanks Wendy - I'm feeling okay. I have my moments but on the whole am doing fine
I loved spending time shopping and Boma!
I agree - Epcot is my favourite park and I could happily spend ages here. The wait for meeting Belle and the Beast was so worth it!!! :cool1:

I want to stand in line to meet characters so I can get in on a good game of tag!! How fun!

Hahaha that was a lot of fun!!! You know what you have to do in December then! :rotfl: I hope you and the girls can get involved as we loved the game.

You definitely have to fit in the caramel shop - the place is amazing and you'll have to let me know how DH enjoys the caramel corn. It is so on my wish list for a future trip!

Well I just found out about the tours of the Harry Potter sets in London next year so I'll definitely be coming over. I can't let this opportunity pass me by!

Yeah, I heard about that a while ago when it was on the news here. I probably should have mentioned it but the thought didn't even cross my mind!

Yay on coming over - you'll have to let me know your dates so we can see if we can have a mini DIS meet in the UK :goodvibes

Hi hun!

Thanks, we had a great time! Oh, definitely try that treat - it is so amazing!! :lovestruc

No worries on getting behind - I love hearing from you whenever you do post my friend  I hope you are enjoying your promotion and looking forward to Christmas. I can't believe how quickly it is approaching!

We headed for our dinner at Akershus - we ended up having to walk briskly as we had minutes to spare once again! Luckily we made it and gave our names at the entrance. We were given a beeper and asked to wait to one side. We literally waited two minutes (if that) before we were called to be seated.

I had my picture taken with Belle and told her that I loved her dress. She spent some time talking to me and then the official photographer took a shot. We loved getting the photographs that were included with the meal.

498-3.jpg

We were seated and met with our server Kristian. Now keep this to yourself but he made my experience at Akershus more worthwhile!! He was quite good looking, really nice and a bit flirtatious! I was at the meal with Zaheer so his flirting did confuse me slightly but I wasn't going to complain! :lmao: I mentioned it to Zaheer afterwards and he thought it was because Kristian was after a good tip :rolleyes1

Once we had ordered our drinks (pink lemonade for me and sprite for Zaheer) we went to the buffet. I was a bit worried I would miss the Princesses but knew they could always come back later. The buffet alone made this meal worthwhile - it was amazing and there were so many choices! I got a roll with butter, pasta with tuna, salmon, beets, coleslaw and asparagus with a dip. I loved it all and cleared my plate. I think Zaheer chose pretty much the same.

499-2.jpg

For our entrees Zaheer chose the pan seared salmon and I was torn between the mushroom stuffed pasta and catch of the day which was cod. I asked Kristian which he would recommend and he said it was a tough choice but he would go for the cod so that is what I ordered. I have to say I loved this dish and the cod which was served in a mustard sauce was delicious.

504-2.jpg

My beautiful cod dish:

505-2.jpg

Whilst we were eating the Princesses came round. First was Snow White and I asked how Grumpy was doing. She said he had found some jewels today so was doing well. She also told me she had baked the dwarfs a pie and was hoping to have some later. I loved this interaction.

500-2.jpg

Ariel was next and noticed my pin and said it was something Scuttle would like. I asked how Prince Eric was and she said he was just fine and she was looking forward to seeing him later.

501-1.jpg

Cinderella came by and didn't spend that long with us (I guess she is popular and spends more time with parties with children) however she was very nice and wished us all the best.

502-2.jpg

Princess Aurora had missed our table but came back and although she looked 'funny' (sorry I don't mean to offend anyone) she was sweet and told us how she and Prince Phillip had spent the day horse riding.

503-2.jpg

We weren't sure if we could have the desserts (as they may have contained gelatine). I asked Kristian and he went to check with the chef. Unfortunately the main chef wasn't available and no one else knew the answer so we had strawberry sorbet instead.

After our meal guess what we decided to do? Well, Zaheer decided and I went along with it! We went on the orange side of Mission Space!!! :scared1: I was SO nervous all the way through the wait and kept wanting to switch to green side. When the video came on all I could think was that please let this experience be over and done with very quickly!! :rotfl: I have to say that although it was a bit intense I enjoyed it and felt better then I had on the green side previously - wierd! :confused3 Unfortunately I have no proof that we actually went on the ride. I wish I had taken a pic of the orange side sign or something - oh well you will just have to take my word on this one!

Afterwards Zaheer had to try on the 'famous' hat once again!

507-1.jpg

Next was Soarin' and we got on front row! Absolutely AWESOME!! I don't think I could ever tire of this ride.

We went to club cool and had a couple of apple sodas before heading to find a great spot for Illuminations. We were told at Akershus that France was the best place to watch the fireworks so that is where we ended up going. We had a great view and just enjoyed the show. I have this one shot which is not the best but this became my absolutely favourite show. As if I didn't love Epcot enough I now had another reason - ILLUMINATIONS!!!! :lovestruc

509-1.jpg

We got a bus (only had to wait 10 minutes) returned to our room and I watched some of The Princess Diaries before calling it a night.

Coming next: A so called rest day!
