Can one have an epilogue to a trip of such short duration?? As Bob Vila likes to say, Might as well!
Following our little weekend with The Mouse, Im amazed at just how much Leo took in while we were at WDW, and even more amazed at how much he remembers and continues to share now, a month later. He still talks about how roller coasters are his favorite and explains to anyone who will listen the exciting things to be found on the airplane coaster (Goofys Barnstormer) and the train coaster (Big Thunder Mountain Railroad). Leo also insisted on watching Peter Pan about a thousand times since our trip. He has a train table and has recreated his version of WDW on it, complete with coasters, a train, spinny-type rides, food service, and a parking lot of matchbox cars. I think hes officially hooked!
If youll recall with me, this little trip evolved from my planning and preparations for our annual December trip and, appropriately, I learned quite a few valuable tidbits to take into that upcoming trip:
I shall not take shortcuts without first consulting a map.
I shall reiterate my room requests before the CM begins the check-in process, hopefully leading to a room located closer than Siberia to food and parking.
I shall not freak out if Leo suddenly develops a new fear; I shall remember that hes a smart little guy and will figure it out with some encouragement and support.
I shall include table service meals at which we can all relax and enjoy having someone else take care of food duties.
I shall not forget to enjoy our resort by walking around and really looking at what it offers.
I shall make plans in advance if I want to ensure a DIS meeting, but will otherwise still enjoy keeping an eye out for lime!
My Focker Watching expedition was a bust, but I did get to meet Glendamax, which was very, very cool! "Where's the lime???" Why, it's right here, in our fun little DIS world, and if I can't find it in WDW, I know where to go
I want to thank everyone whos read along and responded so positively. I came into this report with no expectations and am leaving it having had a great deal of fun! In case you havent had enough yet, I welcome you to join me in the preliminary stages of our next WDW adventure It's Not Christmas Until We Visit The Mouse! (click here)
See you in December!
