Cosmic Ray’s was uncharacteristically crowded at 11:30am. Where did all these people come from, because they sure weren’t waiting in ride lines! This was the situation that had caused me the most pre-trip angst: how will I navigate the order line, pick-up line, and condiment line AND make our way to a table without dumping the tray full of food or losing Leo? Despite the crowded conditions, we managed quite well! Leo stuck right by my side and even carried his little milk carton while I searched for a table. Once seated, we enjoyed a nice lunch and a passing CM even commented on how “well behaved” Leo was being.
We weren’t quite ready to hit the road, so off we went in search of a few more rides. Our Fast Passes for BTMRR were burning a hole in my Baggallini, but Leo must have had second thoughts during lunch. “No, thank you,” I believe was his response when I asked if he’d like to ride the Train Roller Coaster again. We were both overheated and rather worn out, so Tomorrowland Transit Authority sounded good,
(Notice the lime green Pooh lollipop!)
And so did the WDW Railroad:
On our way out of the Magic Kingdom, I saw a Photopass photographer all by himself in the rose garden and knew I finally had an opportunity to get a decent Leo & Mommy picture from our special trip! Unfortunately, Leo wasn’t nearly so thrilled with the idea, but our photographer was a trooper and took many shots with both his and my camera. Sadly, this is the best we could do:
Oh well. We said “Goodbye” to the castle and headed up the ramp to the Resort Monorail, hopping off at the Contemporary. We took a few minutes to browse the shops on the concourse and have a little snack before heading out to the car. Which had been baking in the sun, on top of the pitch black asphalt, for about 6 hours. Nice.

Once the AC got things cooled down a bit, we hopped in for an uneventful drive home. Our unexpected mini-trip was now complete.
