Just back from WDW. We went to Earl of Sandwich for the first and last time...there was no meat in the sandwich!!!! They could advertise Roast beef sandwich $4.95... MEAT EXTRA!!!!.
We went in March soon after they opened and the meat was a very generous portion. 2 people could have shared our sandwiches. Hopefully they have not cut down on their portions, but that would not be unheard of.
Sorry to hear that,Earl Of Sandwich has been getting some great reviews.I was looking forward to giving it a try.Hey thanks for being honest,if you got a bad sandwich you got a bad sandwich.Thank's for sharing your experience.
We were there 2 weeks ago and had sandwiches bulging with meat. Sounds like whoever was preparing the sandwich got distracted. ( or else they used up all of the meat in our sandwiches - LOL! )
My DD works close to there and it's one of their office's dining spots at least once a week. They are still reporting the sandwiches are huge and very, very yummy!
So...did you complain? I'm a literal person I guess, was there actually no meat at all like someone overlooked it, or was the amount of meat so tiny it seemed like no meat. Either way did you say anything to the counter person?
We ate here during our stay May 11 and loved the sandwiches. My husband actually ate some of the meat off of my sandwich because I couldn't eat the entire thing. Hopefully this was a one time thing. Sorry you had such a back experience. Give it another try next time.
I had 2 slices of beef on my sandwich and they had a tendon running thru them. My wife had a sandwich with fresh mozzerella. There were 2 thin slices of cheese. Truely half of her sandwich had no cheese on it. The place is packed, try it for your self. I have found the quality of food at Disney to have really improved over the years and we have had some very fine meals there.
Canada was great. as was LTT and Crocketts Tavern.
Boma's breakfast...you have to try it different.. food not for everyone but fun and worthwhile. The restaurant as well as the lodge are beautiful. I love disney theming!!!
The food at SSR was also good Earl's was our only disappointment.
I was not at all impressed with EoS. One of the worst meatball subs I've ever had--the meatballs and the "zesty" tomato sauce were basically flavorless. My mom was also underwhelmed by the ham sandwich. The bread was pretty good though. Also didn't like that they only have kettle chips which I don't care for at all. I doubt I'll be going back.
