Perhaps she does not feel good. Perhaps she is studying. Perhaps she is at home in AK. Perhaps she does not want to be thrown in the spotlight right now. Perhaps, perhaps, perhaps.

They are not hiding her from conservatives that'd disapprove of the pregnancy. Do you know how many conservative families have faced this same situation? Me neither but it is A LOT. Bristol's pregnancy would (hardly) cause McCain/Palin to lose votes. Get over yourselves. This thread is a new low--yesterday it was all about Palin parading her cutie kids on stage and today it is about where Bristol is. There is no winning with you all. And, I guess, that is politics. Geeesh, Sunday Palin was bashed because she had her daughters out with her on a weekend - included a trip to WDW... Tuesday, bashing because one isn't with her - I also think that flying as frequently as they do while campaigning could be tough on Bristol, physically.

Yeah, Michelle Obama is still out there, I heard a speech last week where she said not to vote for someone because "she's cute"... then she said she was talking about herself. What's she running for, anyway?

All 4 of the candidates are using their children for campaign purposes.

Track Palin and Beau Biden are being used as examples of their parent's loyalty to their country.

Megan McCain is everywhere, blogging and showing up on just about every talk show imaginable.

Obama's kids were used as the cute factor with the little one talking to her daddy on screen.

Palin's middle kids are with her all the time.

Face the reality, candidates have always, always used their kids to show their normalcy, their connection to family, their connection to America.

Edward's little kids were always front and center with his campaign.

Jenna, Barbara, Chelsea all were at the sides of their parents.

Which is why the continued absence of a daughter of an age that in the past history of candidates have always accompanied their parents on campaign stops makes it very conspicuous.

And FWIW, I never even read the thread yesterday, nor did I comment on it. If I had commented on it, I would have applauded Palin for keeping her children with her and her family.

And I am not attacking Palin, Bristol or any of the choices.

I will reiterate, just curious if this is Bristol's choice to stay away, or if she is being forced to stay away by the campaign machine.

Because if she is being forced to stay away, that does say something about the campaign and the values behind it.

Seeing how Biden's family is never discussed (and he is his tickets equal to Palin) I looked it up. I had no idea he had 2 sons from the first marriage and a daughter from his current marriage.
