Where's all the "Manly" Magic Bands?

Yea maybe "Manly" was the wrong word.

But does anybody on here get what I'm asking?

I could indeed get him pink and say it's just the way of the world I suppose. But getting a solid color is no fun anyway.

It just seemed a bit odd they had not "capitalized" on a "category not to be named" ooooohhhhh that would have been great if not at UNI.

My husband wore a red band. Amazingly, no one mistook him for a woman the entire week!

Same, did he pick a solid to save some cash-or because there were none he liked?

My Pop is a St Louis Cardinals fan, so our last trip he wore red! You can choose a color for your favorite team. But I do agree that they need to have character bands. Sis would love Tigger, and I would go goofy over one with Goofy! But seriously, I don't think anyone is paying attention to anybody else's bands, unless they are very uniquely decorated.

I agree, I think it's more for the fun of the individual though.

All baseball hats could be a solid colors as well but not exactly any fun.

Hey jade1! Sorry for teasing about the colors. I have men in my family who likewise would not accept a neon affront to their masculinity, so I do understand you trying to placate DSIL. :teeth:

Our trip was in September 2013, when the MagicBands were fairly new. I'm not sure how many options were available at that time. However, we both view the bands as utilitarian rather than decorative. My husband had no interest in how it looked so I just selected red for him.

Maybe in future trips I'd get some stickers and sealant (modge podge? I don't know crafty stuff) to decorate a plain colored band. Do you think that might work for DSIL? You could get the gray band and decorate it with whatever he likes. Good luck to you!

I think decals could work great-just weird it's necessary IMO.

I suppose. I like that they're able to be changed out. I could have 2 or 3 different decals and wear them all on one trip, and only have 1 MB. I'd rather do that than buy 3 different special MBs. To each his own :)

No sweat.

A color is fine-I'm pretty sure he will draw the line at crafts.

Did notice how awesome the upgraded bands are-really well done IMO, just hoping they add some more "femininely challenged" ones eventually.

But it doesn't appear most on the dis even noticed or cared, so certainly in the minority and maybe why there are not many.

Certainly appreciate the ideas.

We are definitely a group that gets sucked into WDW stuff though. We have quite a few already, but some would be all over RNR or TOT or EE, and certainly a BC heck they open the doors with them doesn't seem like a huge stretch.

I can't believe even DVC doesn't have one, what?
