Where you popular in High School

Well I'm still in high school. My grade sort of has popular and not popular. I don't hang out with the popular "group" but I'd be considered "popular" for some good reasons (being a nice person and fun to be around) and for some not so good reasons (supposedly having the right "look" and knowing the "right" people)

I was just myself. I went to a fairly large school and most everyone knew me by name. I was nice (for the most part) to everyone, and always had tons of invites on the weekends. College wasn't much different.

Yes - and I was very into partying and hanging out with as many kids as possible. But now, I'm far more content sitting at home with a good book - alone. I have totally changed modes since then.

middle-of-the-road. Had cheerleaders as friends, had nerds as friends, had druggies as friends. I liked everyone, just the same as now.

By the way, somehow, my DD has become POPULAR as I never was. Wears the right clothes, has the right look, everybody wants to be with her, etc, etc....I think it's cool but unfortunately it is causing her to develop an "attitute" which we are trying to nip.

I was one of the 3 cheerleaders who wasn't stuck on herself.

I had a lot of friends from all circles, and still do. I like variety in life.

I was in a class of 1375, yes, ONE THOUSAND three hundred and seventy five kids. The school had 8 thousand kids.

I was the "actress" of the school and yes, I was a member of the most popular group in the school. Not just a member, I HAD to be the leader. I had this power thing going back then and refused to follow anyone.

I was not the most popular, but I would say I was relativley popular, yes. I hung around the "popular" group and was always included in it. I was mostly popular for having the best parties! I may have been more popular had I not skipped school so often and actually applied myself. Live and learn!

I was not in the IN group. I was too shy. I has some friends but my best friends attended other schools in the city.

Today I am a popular adult. I found that if I didn't speak up and go for it, I would never have any fun. Now I don't care what people think, I go for it no matter what. I wonder now what I could've achieved if I hadn't been so shy when I was younger.

Every day is a gift, I go for it and have a pretty good time, no matter what I do. My family and friends, just sit back and say "Oh there she goes again" but I do have a grand time now.
