Where would you activate AP?

We'll be arriving on Friday, Nov 10, and want to activate APs right away. Can realistically be to a park by 5:00pm. MVMCP night so MK is out, and I'm too thinking Epcot is out due to F&W. That leaves HS vs AK. I may wondering if HS would be better because guest services at AK may still be crowded due to pandora issues? Any thoughts? Thanks guys!!

I would say it also has something to do with where you're staying ... which park might be easier to get to.

Disney Springs is also an option.

I went to guest relations at AK on Monday June 5th at 6:00 pm, outside the gates, there were 3 groups in front of me - one group took forever!!! She was arguing that she wanted a refund of something and had no receipt - it was crazy and she was horrible to the CM. It took maybe 10 minutes - she was still arguing at the next window when we were finished.

Coming out of AK on June 10 around noon and then again around 10:00 pm the line was incredibly long.

It's just luck.

I'm not sure you can activate at the TTC? From the website on APs it looks like at the main gate of each park or DS. I hope I'm wrong as a TTC activation would be perfect for us in October.

We did ours at Disney Springs and then went and had dinner. We don't do parks on arrival for the most part.

Activating mine on arrival July 6. Looks like it's gonna have to be at MK guest services. I'm hoping for a smooth process

ravenclawtrekkie who posted above is CM and this is her specialty, so looks like it will work for your October trip. And my DS activated his there a couple years ago.

The ticket booths at TTC are the same as the ticket booths at the front of any other park. They've actually got more windows than anywhere else - 9 booths of 6 windows each, I believe.

MK does also have a single ticket booth (and Guest Relations) at their "proper" park entrance to assist resort guests who arrive via bus/boat/monorail and don't go through TTC.

I've found it quicker to go to the ticket booths instead of guest services. I've done mine at MK guest services outside the park (slow) AK ticket window (fast) Epcot main ticket window (fast) and my son did his at Epcot (IG) a little slower but the CM was great.

My parents activated theirs at concierge at the Swan and they were pleased. We stay often at the Swan/Dolphin though.

I activated my AP at the TTC. Easy peasy. For the OP, ticket booths will be pretty dead at 5pm. I wouldn't worry about wait times and just activate at whatever park you want to go to. You ruled out Epcot because of F&W, but it won't be too bad as you're coming in on a weekday. Generally, it's just the weekend afternoons that can get a bit crowded, mainly due to the locals coming in.

I did mine in December at Disney Springs on a Friday night and the wait was at least 20 minutes. They have a nice waiting area and a lot of CMs, but it was crowded. So I'd probably recommend a park or TTC unless you are already going to be at Disney Springs anyway.

This worked great for us a few weeks ago - in face we did it at a stand alone 'booth' in front of guest relations ( guess it's also considered GR).
