Where will Rosie Roam in 2013. Day 2 Epcot updated 10/14

Trying to get all caught up. I've been following along on the conclusion of the Elvis trip on my DIS app via phone, but somehow I never made it over here to comment. :confused3

That evening we headed to Queensbury to a must do each year

The Heidelburg

Wow, I thought for a minute there I had messed up and clicked on a Magdalene TR!!! :rotfl:

My Monte Cristo Sandwich
Your Hot Italian is going to be jealous!!!

So Rosie, were you able to finish the Full Monte??? :rolleyes1

This was the special that night called a German stirfry and while the portion for most meals ar huge , this was HUGER!!!
That is DEFINITELY huger!!!

This sign was NOT well received by all us escorts

or this one

They said non handicapped paid $10 but don't you think the sign makes it appear that only the Handicapped are being charged . The poor attendant was perplexed and said a lot of people were upset by it!!!
I definitely agree Rosie! Not a well worded sign for sure!

So the others enjoyed themselves, but I did not get my annual Pole Dancing pix
WHAT? No pole dancing pic?? What is this TR coming to??? :headache:

Can't you tell they are in 7thHeaven !! So many of the MR population absolutely adore ELVIS!!!
Oh, they look like they are definitely enjoying it and having a great time!!! :goodvibes

We all met in the dining area off the lobby and they filled out their reviews on the Trip and us !!Needless to say Laurie and I scored HIGH!:snooty:
In spite of all the picking Rosie, you definitely should always score high on the reviews! You always do a great job planning and guiding these tours!!! :thumbsup2

So moving right along !!!On June 13th Carol and I headed out again on another adventure . We picked up 5 travelers in Buffalo and another 3 on the way!!
:woohoo: ....the Vermont trip is starting! :cool1:

My quesadillas YUMMY!!!!
Oh yes, love me some quesadillas!!!

Enjoying the soups which they had nice choices , chicken noodle was the favorite, but I had split pea and it was delish!!
Was this place located inside a carousel or the tea cups or something? :confused3 This pic is making me dizzy!!! :faint:

I am not saying Handicapped should pay less, but that sign is just WRONG!!!

No I am a much better Pole Dancer than a [photographer !!!!:rotfl2:

So far we had NOT got lost and were happy to see the Covered Bridge Museum as we drove to check into our Hotel !! As soon as we were settled , which involved Carol being flirted with by the Desk clerk:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: We headed to the Museum

Pourinf Rain makes this the best pix of the covered bridges

A model Railroad with the covered bridges

Checking out the modela

I would post the pix of the old fashioned tools , but it is blurry and would upset Marv:rotfl2::rotfl2:

In the background is a painted Moose , which were everywhere also so cougars or mountain cats not sure which or what their significance was !! We even saw Painted Moosses on roofs:rotfl2::rotfl2:

We had chosen Kevins Pub for our first supper and here is where the LOST IN VERMONT started . We had asked at the Covered bridge for directions and she even gave us a map , so from that we deduced that Main Street was a righthand turn off the road our hotel was on . Of course there was no name on the road and as we turned the next sign said it was Water Street , so we maded the first of many Parking lot tours to head back from whence we came :rotfl2:
Tried a few more streets and I finally called the Restaurant , when I told them we were on Water Street he said keep coming it turns into Main Street:confused3:rotfl2::rotfl2:. This was the beginning of the whole trip and directions !!:rotfl2:
So we arrived at Kevins

The Staff were very nice and the menu was good , stay tuned for food porn in next post!!!

Of course Hamburgers were the choice of a few , but this is what I orderd

It looked better than it was , the fish was thin and on the dry side, but the coleslaw and twice baked potatoe were delish

Pasta and sauce with garlic bread , ordered by someone with GERD:confused3:rotfl2:

Grilled chicken strips with sweet potatoe fries and I think squash, this gal was by far the most adventurous , and she enjoyed all her choices :cool1:

Seafood plate , looks like scallops and mussels

Baked fish with mashed potatoes and cottage cheese , Have to say they had a very nice choice of sides

And here we are leaving and there is one of those painted cats !!!

The next morning we ate breakfast at the hotel, it was fairly good eggs , sausage, etc . Then we headed out for Weston. Once again we encountered Vermont's lack of signs , we would come to a road that you had to turn right or left and the Route would be totally different to what both my Trip Tik said and what I could see on the map:eek:So we did a lot of winging it and Parking lot turns :rotfl2: and finally we found

Now we pull in to park and one of the guys says I gotta go  and she had so that entailed first finding a rest room and a change of clothes :lmao:This too was to be a daily happening:eek:

The Country store was interesting , very pricey though !!By now we were getting hungry and so we decided to try the BRYANT House Restaurant that was right by the store . PB is NOT cooperating again so I will try later , when it is in a better mood :rotfl2:

Those Country Stores are always so nice...but always SOOOOOOOOOOOOO expensive. Sorry youa re still have PF issues...hope they rectify soon.

I had been looking at the Bryant House on line and the menu looked Yummy!!!!:goodvibes And it was :thumbsup2:cool1:

First up was some DELISH bread, I loved the little caste iron pan for the butter

Then a delish Sald for one of them

This was a Fish sandwich:rotfl2: He had not eaten the fish the night before cuz it was toooooo big So we ordered the Fish minus the roll and a Small piece , he ate it ALL!!!

Next the half sandwich and Clam chowder

This is a cottage pie or Shepherds pie

Chicken Salad

Finally my lunch which was a chicken pot pie, the carrots and peapods were the tastiest evah!!! The pie was out of this world, if you are ever in Vermont give this place a try , it was awesome

There was another store there too and it was cheaper so we shopped mainly there!!! PB is behaving a little better now !!!:rotfl2:

Glad to see that getting lost in Vermont did not effect the meals any. :rolleyes1

Looks like lots of good food. However the Chicken Pot pie with those huge carrots and peas would have been a no go for me. :lmao:

I know Pat, but they were delish, I just kept saying it as I ate it ALL!!!

Well I am now planning the next trip to Eris Pa next month!!! Got my list of travelers and have started the call to fill in the blanks that they don't tell ya on the applications !!:rotfl2:
Las Vegas is also approaching and I am doing LOTS of reseach on that !!Anyone have any tips !!!????

Food looks yummy and making me hungry.

Mark goes to Vegas twice a year. I've not been there with him in probably 8 or 9 years. All I can say is EVERYTHING is expensive.

I have found lots of FREE attractions , but I agree the restaurants on the strip do seem expensive , like $16 for a hamburger :scared1: I keep hearing about coupon books , so am hoping we can find a deal with them. We are staying at Harrah's and I think I want to eat at Toby Keith's "I Love that Bar" Ireally don't want to do the fast food chains all the time !! Atour of Hoover Dam is included with our trip so that will be FUN!!

Oh O didn't COUNT him!!!
:lmao:

Too funny about all the parking lot turnarounds. I had to do a couple of those yesterday.......trying to go somewhere I have been many times!!! :guilty:

Seems like wherever Carol goes, somebody is trying to pick her up. :rolleyes1

Some of your food looked really good, especially your pot pie! I think I would have liked that too! :goodvibes

Love to see all of the covered bridges sometime! The pictures of those I have seen they look really cool! :thumbsup2

Lots of great food porn in Vermont, I see. I remember the Vermont Country Store, but its been years since I've been in there.

That Pot Pie was absolutely fantastic , IF I go there again I will definately order it. The carrots and Pea pods were perfectly cooked and delish. They said they used all local ingrediants whenever possible!!! As for Parking Lot Tours those are MY speciality , I have no sense of direction, but I can follow a map or trip tik well, but if the wrong road sign is there I can be counted on to go the wrong way.

Yes I also was there many years ago!!

I need to find the website I used the first time I went to get a feeling of the place.

My conference does a great job of feeding me so I had little opportunity to really eat out other than a quick meal here and there.

Let me dig around and I can pm you the website if I find it but it was the tourist bureau I think.
