Where will I stay the driest?

I don't really like to get wet above my neck. My family really wants me to go on splash. Is there a spot on the boat that generally stays dry?

Just don't sit in the front. I usually sit in the middle and my legs my get alittle wet but that's about it. Go on it and enjoy.

We just got back and I sat in the middle both times we rode it and did not get very wet. My capris got wet, but dried very quickly. My DD in the front and DH in back got more wet above the neck. Have fun!!

I don't think I've ever gotten my head wet on Splash Mountain... the worst was a splash to the chest.

On GRR, on the other hand, I've gotten completely soaked.

The middle is the best, but you will get a little wet still. I have also noticed it depends on how full the log is...when I have gone with just me and my daughter neither of us got really wet in the front but when they put us in a log with another people and we sat in the front I got soaked.

Get a middle seat! Last year I got a huge wave right to the face sitting in the front. Was still fun but I was drenched by the end of the ride. :)

To ensure you don't get soaked just purchase a poncho. It's your best bet if you really dislike getting wet.

ya, they sell ponchos at the dollar store, just stick one in your purse and then throw it away after Splash. :) But middle seat is best if you dont want to get wet!

I always hide my face in the back of the seat just before splash down. I've gotten wet in all areas of the log. Once we got stuck at the very tippy top of the hill for a minute or two. When we landed we got so soaked! From the front to the back! All the water must have built up down there or something.

it depends on the wieght in the log for the most part - so good luck
middle is the safest
poncho is best
you do dry very quickly when it is sunny & hot

We rode on the Lilly Belle last week and the CM that rides with you is full of all kinds of fun facts and history. One thing he told us was when they did this last refurb they added a extra 6" water so people would get splashed more. That explains why everybody in our log got totally soaked.

It's not your head you have to worry about. Unless they fix it in this latest refurb, it's more like "slosh" mountain. All the water sloshes over the sides of the log and your feet and socks get soaked.

My son and I were on it the day it re-opened, sat in the very last row together and we did not get wet. The couple in rows 1 and 2 were soaked.

hah! So true! This ride was made for flip-flops! I can't even think about what is floating in that foot soup...ewwww...

Normally the front section is the worst, though I've been hit hard in the back seat too. I think it depends on how the water is sloshing at the bottom when you hit it - and the size of your companions. We had one dude the size of a brown bear sit up front. OMG. It was unreal. :sad2:

That's a good way to describe it "slosh" moutain. That is exactly how it was even on the smaller hills water sloshed over the sides. I was in the back my daughter was in the front. I could feel the water runing down my shorts before we even got to the big hill. I wouldn't mind getting this wet when its really hot out but the entire 13 days of our trip the high was always around 70 so it took a quite a while to dry out.
