It's taken me a couple of days, but I got caught up again. I get on in between holding the baby and visiting with my daughter, Emily.
First, let me say about September. Dan and I almost always go in September. The wait on most rides is the time it takes you to get to the loading area. Ok, some are 10 minutes and of course Toy Story Mania and Soarin always have a fairly long line. But judicious use of fast pass makes even those easy to ride multiple times. Now, the heat can get to you. But we go early, break in the middle of the day for swimming/down time and then go back to the parks afterward. And we have our favorite rides for AC relief in each park. And the Halloween party!!! Sooo much fun. We did the
MVMCP and enjoyed it, but
MNSSHP was a total blast!! We loved the CMs getting into the spirit of it all and Haunted Mansion was especially fun. The parade...LOVED it! I know you'll get some excellent shots of the Headless Horseman. We went Sept 13th and it was still very hot, so we just wore decorated t-shirts, but there were a few brave souls who completely dressed up. It's awesome to see the creativity. Can you tell I'm excited for you???
Love the pic of the family! My two oldest granddaughters always "strike a pose" just like your little sweetie does. No one tells them these things, I guess it's just instinct? So very cute, though!
I have never stayed at the Poly. For Dan and I it was always more important to stay longer and put the money into more days. And I fear if I ever stay there, I won't be able to go back to moderate resorts. I absolutely love French Quarter, so I'm happy to stay there. I realize with 5 in your family, you are limited to where you can stay. And the Poly is just so convenient as well as beautiful!
We recently made extra money for Disney by selling things on Craigs list. Bigger things like a treadmill, golf clubs, tables etc. Maybe you can do that in your SPARE time!! Oh my, girl, your schedule is crazy!! I so remember when we had our 4 kids in sports, two girls and two boys and very different locations! I don't miss that frenetic pace. Not a bit.
I also agree with the mid-week to mid-week since the cost of the hotel goes up for the weekend and that way you only pay extra once. I hope you can get amazing deals on airfare, but driving certainly would be fine. Are you getting so excited?? Once you book, it will take on a life of it's own.
Well, little Caroline is ready to play, so I'll be off. I had hoped to get over to Ruthie's and D~s and a couple other ptrs, but they'll have to wait. (Sorry, Ruthie! Love you!)
