Let me ask you something which could save mega bookoo bucks did you ever consider if drive staying OFF site ? I can recommend a LOT of places that I personally stayed at not far from WDW at all like within a 5 mile radius vacation home in Kissimmee that a friend owns, she became a friend after I rented her place for a month...yes a monthlovely 3 bdrm pool home OR I have stayed at home style suites, full kitchens, etc....something to think about
I can't... i just can't... not staying on property just takes away from all things Disney.. i mean i am trying my best to try to stay at the poly next year!!!

Today.
Still not feeling well. horrible migraine!!! it will not go away. all i want to do is go home and sleep for 2 days, my stomach is bothering me. etc.
Then talking to my boss (God i am going to miss him) i told him how i have the e-cigarette... Which he then tells me...
That i better be careful because i could get nicotine overdose.. since i am still smoking with that electronic thing... WELL now i know what's wrong with me!!! just took two pain pills hopefully i will get back to normal.
Plus i don't have time to be ill. all week i have been out on the fields for Meg and the Boys. Today is rough. Meg has a game at 5:30. the boys have a tournament at 5:30... talked to Meg's coach he said the sugarbabies have enough girls today and we can go to the boys game!!! yay! Yet i still need to drop off the game snacks. (yes they still do this.
) Thursday Meg has a game the boys have practice.
Meg has her "last" game on Friday. the boys have a game on Friday. I have Dog training on Friday.
I need to clone myself. 
I HAVE to go to Dog training I NEED TO GET PAID!!

I was thinking we might have a Dismeet if you were going to be there on Sept. 8, but then I realized you are talking about 2014! My birthday is Sept. 8th also, but we'll be there in 2013
This would have been great!!! So upset!!!
We were originally were supposed to be there this year, had to cancel for next year...

Well the movie: now I got several life lessons out of that, but then again doesn't every Disney movie have a life lesson, moral of the story, etc base ever since the first was made ? but the thing that got me 
was that would SO be Maxine going after that carrot
Hmm Vinylmations the next biggest craze the next biggest "must have" I understand people are now trading them like pins I think they are either real cute or real ugly...no in between opinion for me I did buy a large white one after reading on the Dis that it was a unique place to have characters autograph them instead of books, didn't realize until I got it home though that I made a mistake Its not solid white instead has Mickey in black outline forms all over it so don't think this can work for original idea Can't find the solid white ones anywhere not even eBay I did get all of the Pluto (except for 2 still "need") because well he is Pluto and speaking of, when you have nothing better to
do

I totally agree with this... Now that we have stayed at FQ - there is just no way... NO WAY I could ever stay off property again... It's to magical... Yes, the price tag is "magical" too - but...
Seriously - my love for Disney resorts runs deep, and some day, I vow to own DVC too - it is a goal of mine.

I don't have time to watch the trailer either (since I'm at work and supposed to be working...), but I did see an ad for the new movie.
I don't understand the whole vinylmation thing either, so I can't very well explain it.

I tried to talk my dh into driving down this year, and at first he was good with the idea. Neither one of us has been to South of the Border in years.
But when it came time to actually book our package, he decided he would rather spend that time in parks than on the road, so we are flying. But, its only the 2 of us - no munchkins to take along.
I remember the days when one kid was playing on a different field in a different town than the other one. Luckily I only had 2 at a time to worry about.

The Headless Horseman is awesome! We go to this every year (yes, every year) but the first year was the best. in 2008 the horse they used was full of steam and just blew past - very realistic. 2009-12 it was a much more sedate trot: not as impressive, but much better for pictures.
I have never stayed off property and DH would probably go an a murderous rampage if I suggested it. I can't imagine trying to get just the two of us adults from off-site to the parks in a timely manner, much less kid-wrangle.
And (if next year's 10th anniversarypalooza works out) we're aiming for at least a couple of days at the Poly as well in Oct 2014.
Good luck with that ton of crap.
and BTW now that you found me I think I'll stalk your PTR....

So your free time is spent on the baseball field. Yikes! I can't even folliw your schedule on paper. I would never be able to keep up in real life. Cute picture of the family at WDW.
Love the idea of the going to Disney tshirts! Sounds like driving is the way to go. I would much rather spend that money on the trip. I do enjoy the fact that we live close enough to drive now. Makes planning and budgeting much easier, no stressing about flights.

Oh my gosh I finally got through the 35278090 posts I missed while I was in dead world. 
I'm back!!! Hopefully to stay. Still feeling like bleh, but I have meds in me now, so hopefully it won't take long. I NEED SLEEP!
Yep, it is Wicked Smaaat. And someone mentioned that it was just like a Boston accent.....um, no. We have lots of the same made up words, but they sound nothing alike. And I am not a Downeaster....maybe the Ay-uh, but I don't really say that in real life.
Oh gosh those Little Dingy's were yummy!

You forgot about the weird Robot City thing. Some sort of oil refinery??? It looked really cool. But I guess you must see things like that in Chicago? Not here in Maine. I thought it was neat.

The log flume was a great time. I felt like a teenager just giggling and laughing til we cried! Fun fun fun!

Well, since I am so far behind, you probably already made this decision, but I can tell you this:
When Dani and I went last July, I booked midweek to midweek. Not only are the flights cheaper (but I think you are driving??), but it was soooo great getting there midweek. Most people do Sat-Sat. Most people hit the ground running. So most people are going to take a midweek break. This opens up the parks for you to hit the ground running on Wednesday when the masses are taking a sleep in day or DTD day. It was great last July.
Totally agree. Even if I had to stay at an All-Star, I would do it to be on property!
Right there with ya. Mine is from sickness, not from business. Just haven't had the energy. I got sick right after our trip to MOA, so this mess is from 3 weeks ago and still building! Hoping to have more energy soon.

MUST stay on property. Otherwise i would rather NOT go! I am torn about the drive too becuase i do believe the DME (just for RuthIE i added the D) is part of the whole magical experience! Yet this i can leave out once just to save money and possibly stay at the poly!! My will is strong.. Not strong enough. i need this guy

Meg did not go to her game she wanted to go to the boys game. I only had to go to one game yesterday.. I love my daughter! Because it was my turn to bring the goofy snacks for the team i still wanted to drop it off to them. Only fair.
I will be SO happy when i no longer need to do treat bags.

This is true as well.. I am going to be a maniac trying to get down there.. The way home is going to be HORRIBLE!!!
Then again have you ever noticed how the way there always takes FOREVER yet the way home is always faster?? the anticipation is a killer.. Flying will take 2-2 1/2 hours. Driving will take up to 18+ hours.. 
DISLIKE this very much.. A lot of my friends have girls. where they can sit in the middle and watch both games.. Me? Nope. 2 different fields. about a mile apart. so i have to do half games each. unless i pull Meg. I will be GLAD when this is over. Football starts in August, ALL on one field!!!
Yes the BIG black monster flying threw the streets would be awesome to see.. YET as you know I NEED PICTURES!!! LOTS AND LOTS of them. I am really excited to see it!!!

So now that i know i can book in August.. I told Tom. with school being out i am saving about 200 a month, I do have to pay babysitters. Can't wait for this to be over either.
That money is going straight to the savings. any change? I am making a jar decorating it DISNEY FUND. Kids can help with this. without them knowing WHEN we will be going back.
Spoke to the family who wants to go with us last night and told her the same. Book in August. She was going to talk to her Hubby. I don't know if they are going to tell their kids or not. we will have to do a girls planning night!! YAY!
I am also going to suggest:
Family Newbie going to Disney SHOULD do a lot of stuff by themselves. they need to get the full feel of Disney. we can meet up at certain times. do our ADRs or whatever. I don't know how they feel about resorts. They really don't know anything about Disney and i am GLAD to be the one to show them.. I do LOVE their kids. Our family and their family get along very well. we will need a do your own thing days too.

It's our 10th Anniversary next year and while my birthday is in September - when we usually go - we were married in October and my schedule is still light enough that we can actually be there on the Date. That's why October.

I think whoever posted about the Pluto GAC meant V's orange lanyard with white spots. I guess that could represent Pluto but my first thought was Goofy, not Pluto.

The weekends are always more busy...no matter what time of the year you go. But if you arrive on a Tuesday/Wednesday, you can take a "break day" on Saturday while everyone else is at MK. Or just do Epcot....that's never busy
I'm sure it will still be cheaper to drive....you have 5 to pay for. Even if you got $100 flights....that would still be $500. You can drive for less than that if you don't stay overnight.
Wait...you are going in August now???
I think this is very important. No matter how well you get along....you need your own time and they will too. It is too hard to tour with that many people. Plan to have breakfast and dinner together each day then just go your own seperate ways.
Still feeling awful. They told me after 24 hrs I would feel the antibiotics working, but that time passed last night and I feel worse today than I have in a while
But, now that I am caught up....I am really really going to try to stay on top of things. And make it over to Ruthie's. I subscribed, but haven't been there since
