Where? Who? How? Photography? Help! Triplets take on the World!

Congrats on finally getting things squared away with the secon job. I bet that's a relief!

Your magic shots are so cute. I really like the Tinkerbell one...especially the look on your hubby's face! I have never seen the Mickey and Minnie magic shots like that. I wonder if they still do them?!?

I'm sure they do!!

just ask! i read on here before that any PP with a tripod did magic shots.. SOOOO not the case. any PP can do a magic shot!!! i was on a mission last Disney vacation to get as many Magic shots as i could!!!

yes HUGE relief on the job.. HUGE... i was getting very depressed over it!

Just stopping by to say hi. I saw an "I love ferrets" bumper sticker the other day and thought of you ( and your couch) LOL.

Those pictures are so cute. Love how everyone is rockin' the bears shirts except Meg in her princess t. ♥

Glad to see that the new job is getting it together so you can get started on making that deposit. Just curious, I know it is not a guarantee that next year will be the same but was free dining offered this year for the time frame that you are going in 2014? I don't blame you for not wanting to leave the Poly. I think doing a split stay with three munchkins might be kind of a pain. I have never done it but think it would be easiest with a car. There is still much packing up to do but you could do two sets of luggage and leave one set in the car. Just have a separate bag for all your toiletries and stuff that you would need in both hotels. ???? I would be worried about the park time getting eaten up with the switch.

Hope you had a great weekend.

Soooo glad you heard from the job and are probably as I type this there proving you are who you say you are. Yay!!

My trip home on Friday was 2/3rds rain, some of it quite hard. It was a little tense, but I made it safe and sound. Dan took me to dinner and for ice cream (which I'm not supposed to eat, but sometimes you just have to, KWIM?) Then the next day he said he didn't want me to lift a finger and we went out for lunch and then miniature golf and then for ice cream. Yes, again! Then we met friends at a restaurant, sat on the patio and laughed and had so much fun. Now, today reality sets in and I need to get some sewing done.

Loved those Chicago words. Dan actually uses Dopp kit. I'd never heard it called than until I married him. I actually use a lot of those words, never realizing they are "Chicago" words.

And I also had never seen that magic shot with Minnie and Mickey. It is so stinkin cute!! I will definitely ask about it next time we're there. It's so exciting to realize you are so close to booking your trip. We are trying to work out dates to take our granddaughter next year and it's logistically challenging since they moved to Colorado. Hopefully we'll come up with a good plan.

Well, I hope you made out okay today at your job #2. Your life is about to get even crazier! But I know you thrive on that. They say if you want something to get done, ask a busy person. That would be you! Have a good one!

How are you going to get your granddaughter to you??
my life is nothing but crazy.. so this just adds to the mix!:cool1:

Very quick update before i run out the door.
ALL IS PERFECT! still keeping up and stalking everyone in Disney... :thumbsup2
and today was the kids first FULL day of school... of COURSE i get a call Matt is sick..
so he is IN his ROOM all day. i believe he was just overheated. which happens a LOT with him.

i am about to run out to Job #2 to fill out the paperwork!

promise to write more later!!!

miss you all hugs to everyone!

Hope Matt is feeling better soon. It is hard to keep them cool when they have an endless supply of energy

Sorry to hear that Matt isn't feeling well. Hope he is back to his old self soon! It has been so mierably HOTTTTT here that some days I think I might overheat!

Ohh, hope the Matt munchkin is feeling better today!

As for getting Charlotte to us for the trip, our DD will plan a visit to Ohio for that time period. She'll stay a couple of weeks and visit friends while we're gone. She would rather Charlotte didn't miss a lot of pre-school, but I don't see any way around it. We won't go during the summer or Spring Break and Dan doesn't have any more vacation to go this December, which we were contemplating. I'm sure it will work out eventually.

I'm hoping for free dining for your trip next year as well. They've done it so many years now for the same time period, I would think it would be fairly certain. But, you never know with Disney. Who else will be going at the same time? Got any DIS meets planned yet? I know, too early, but I think that would be so fun!

Okay, gotta get moving and make the most of my day before my massage later. Hope you have a great day!

Thank you!!! he's good.

It is really hot here this week too! BLAH. not a fan of this. Football is here it needs to be the HIGH of 70. not 100.

Charlotte won't miss too much from pre-school? maybe practice your alphabet and numbers to make Mom feel better?!?! :lmao:
i said the same thing the first year we took the kids
1. it's pre-school, so i made them practice little work books and sent them to school.
2. it's the beginning of the school year. which really means a recap of the year before.
i don't feel so bad about missing the first week of school.
then there is the fact IT'S THEIR BIRTHDAY!!! and a great time to go because of crowds, isn't unbearably hot and of course all decked out for Halloween! :yay: Fall is my FAVORITE time of year.

I do hope there is Free dining, who knows what will happen! everyday is a new rumor. no free dining ever again, free dining in october, just have to sit back and wait. Hope pixi dust is upon us and we do get free dining!
So far Iamthequeen (Terry) said she MAY be there at the same time! :yay:

how did your massage go? that sounds dreamy!!!

Matt:
well yesterday i got the call from school Matt was sick. :sad2: Mother's intuition kicked in and just KNEW he was fine.
whatever. i wasn't all that excited to be at work anyhow :rotfl: went to the school he was very warm... Once we got home sent him upstairs, if your sick go to bed.
it was hard, he would come downstairs and give me a hug saying i just want to be with you in the most saddened voice. NO I MUST BE STRONG! sent him back up. he walked very slow and sulking. had lunch sent him back up. about 2 he came down again said he was thirsty i checked to see if he cooled down a bit, he had.
so i asked him very point blank.
Me: Matt how are you feeling
Matt: im ok (again very saddened voice)
Me: Tell me the truth are you really sick
Matt: looks like a deer in headlights.
Me: the truth Matt
Matt: will i be in trouble,
Me (trying desperately not to laugh ya know this is serious business) If you say the truth not really.
Matt: I won't be in trouble?!?
Me Truth
Matt: no, no i wasn't sick it was really really hot in there and it was a looong day.
** remember here he was in school for about an hour**
This was their first full day of school... :sad2:
Well what are you going to do. He told the truth. Yes he was wrong in his intentions. I did get out of work early. Choose your battles well. He told the truth. that is what is important. if something were to ever come up he needs to know to ALWAYS tell the truth.
punishment?

Football... Their practice rivals any NFL team. full tackle full equipment, the calisthenics make me cringe. they do it. they ROCK it. i am proud they can!

New job update! I FINALLY went and filled out the rest of the paperwork waiting for my employee number and poof i start hopefully next week. I have 2 hours in the books already. :cool1: even that was fun.

So in Disney related news:
I spoke with Jen yesterday about going, she looked over the document i gave her... Her husband Chris wants to go to the Dell as well next year, I said that's fine since we can do a simple run threw make sure we can travel and vacation together! :lmao:

i am reading all i can... I am not a fa of these magic bands i am also not going to put too much faith in them until the final say so is completed and the rules are put forth.
like the refill cups.
One thing i will say about them is: I HOPE THEY CHANGE THE DESIGN!!! I have 5 of the pool scene. would love a different design!!!

How do you all feel about the magic bands, refill cups, Fastpass stuff?!?!

oh lets not forget a picture!

Photographers have WAY too much fun with people. :sad2:

Reindeer People!!!!

The plans right now are to go to Disney next year the same time frame we are going this year - so the first week or so of the month! Low crowds rule!

We also want to visit the dark side while we are there. The new Diagon Alley is supposed to be completed some time next year, though I haven't heard any dates announced yet. It will probably be packed though :confused3

I'm on the fence with the magic bands - can take them or leave them. We are not at a resort that was chosen to "test" them so I really don't care. So there! I would have liked to pick some fastpasses ahead of time though. We don't usually have a need for fastpasses, but there are some I'd like to be able to get - Toy Story Mania for one. We've never been able to get on this ride. Hopefully this year!

Once all the bugs are worked out, they should be fine.

I can understand the "logic" behind the RFID cups. We always bought new ones each trip, but I can see where people would bring them back from previous trips. Honestly, we really never spent all that much time at the resort anyway. I'm sure they made money from us and the small amounts we drink there.

Good for Matt for telling the truth. I always told my kids that if they told the truth, the punishment would be less than if they lied about things.

I'm going to sign up for a digital photography class at the high school tomorrow (its payday....) It doesn't start until we get back and I really want to learn to use the camera I just bought.

Reindeer People!!!!

yep. i will do anything for a goofy picture! :lmao:

The plans right now are to go to Disney next year the same time frame we are going this year - so the first week or so of the month! Low crowds rule!

THAT'S RIGHT!!! i'm so with you... Have you gone any other time???
November was very good too..

We also want to visit the dark side while we are there. The new Diagon Alley is supposed to be completed some time next year, though I haven't heard any dates announced yet. It will probably be packed though :confused3

Same here!!! Matt really wants to go. I have to check out the height limits if they can't get on most of everything then i don't see the point. :confused3

I'm on the fence with the magic bands - can take them or leave them. We are not at a resort that was chosen to "test" them so I really don't care. So there!

:lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2:
you tell em!!!

I would have liked to pick some fastpasses ahead of time though. We don't usually have a need for fastpasses, but there are some I'd like to be able to get - Toy Story Mania for one. We've never been able to get on this ride. Hopefully this year!

oh no! you must!!! at least once! i agree I would like to pick some out. I just don't like having to figure out a time i want to ride that ride 180 in advanced... i'm lucky i know what i am doing today.

Once all the bugs are worked out, they should be fine.

Again with your infinite wisdom...

I can understand the "logic" behind the RFID cups. We always bought new ones each trip, but I can see where people would bring them back from previous trips. Honestly, we really never spent all that much time at the resort anyway. I'm sure they made money from us and the small amounts we drink there.

i like the mugs. but i "heard" they are putting a cap on how much you can have??? again rumors... waiting for the final word. still want new design!!!

Good for Matt for telling the truth. I always told my kids that if they told the truth, the punishment would be less than if they lied about things.

yes they lied to me once. they were in SO MUCH trouble. they think twice now. and learned the lesson. i want to keep a open and HONEST relationship with them now. teenage years are going to be a... insert your own word here.

I'm going to sign up for a digital photography class at the high school tomorrow (its payday....) It doesn't start until we get back and I really want to learn to use the camera I just bought.

:rolleyes1 Umm you can message me... i know a few tricks... either facebook OR here. :wave2:

You handled the potential lying episode very well! Good going Mom!

I think a visit to Disney is very educational. When we took our first DGD a year ago, they had a butterfly house and Selah was telling US the kinds of butterflies we were seeing. And when one landed on her finger and camped out there for a bit, she was ecstatic! Plus, pre-school can be missed in my opinion. We took our kids out of school (when they were in jr high) in October once and they all still managed to graduate college with two getting masters.:rotfl:

As far as getting to ride Toy Story Mania, here's what you do. Be at HS about 30 minutes before opening. Once you get through the turnstiles, give all the Key to the World cards to one person, preferably the fastest one. They can hurry to the fastpass kiosks while you walk toward the ride. Once the fastpasses are obtained, all of you get in line. I know it will say 30 minute wait, but it won't be that long. They always seem to start with it at 30. So, ride the ride, then go do fun stuff and come back for your appointed time. Dan and I usually ride at least 3 times each visit. We love that ride!:thumbsup2

As far as the magic bands, I love the way fastpass works now and wish they would leave it alone. I guess the bands would be more helpful for those who can't go to Disney during lighter crowd times. I'll reserve judgement until I actually use them.;)

The mugs, I'm with you. It's time for a change! I have many of the pool ones. I remember being so excited when those came out. We're never satisfied it seems. haha As far as the chip, there will always be people who circumvent the rules. I think the chip is a good idea. It doesn't really effect us too much.

I have a great idea: Why don't you take on a third job of teaching photography. :lmao: :faint:In your spare time. There's money to be had, girl!

You handled the potential lying episode very well! Good going Mom!

thank you! just hope he doesn't plan on doing that again, otherwise there will be nasty consequences!!

Yes Disney IS educational well mostly in Epcot. next year is going to be a little tougher! 4th grade and football.. Oh well. it's DISNEY!
as far as i am concerned they can get a masters IN DISNEY!! ha ha ha ha... All joking aside. Matt is an A and B student, Meg is mostly b's with a C thrown in and Zack. Well he has a learning disability he struggles a little more then most kids, yet his report cart had all B's and C's. so i am not Too worried. :woohoo:

Yep! our first time there a father was with his son on the bus and gave us that exact advice. and we did just that! with the new magic bands someone will have to take all the bands with them?!?
ahhh just too many questions right now in the infant stages of this i cannot worry or speculate in what is going to happen... just sit back relax and watch it all happen.

As far as the magic bands, I love the way fastpass works now and wish they would leave it alone. I guess the bands would be more helpful for those who can't go to Disney during lighter crowd times. I'll reserve judgement until I actually use them.;)

i cannot agree more.

YES! i don't mind buying new mugs!!! i just wish they would change them yearly!! or even with the change of seasons?!?
Your right. with all the heated discussions in regards to the refill mug the RFID chip isn't a bad idea.. I just hope the rumor in how MUCH you can refill is not true. I am like a camel. i drink a TON.

I have a great idea: Why don't you take on a third job of teaching photography. :lmao: :faint:In your spare time. There's money to be had, girl!

yeah... i have about an hour from 2-3pm i leave work at 2 and pick the kids up from school at 3! :thumbsup2

********************************************************

I am so excited DEE started a trip report!!! she has a GREAT start!! finally all those surprises are revealed! :rotfl2:

The kids School does NOT have air conditioning. Their class is on the top floor.. YUCK! (yes Matt stayed all day) once in the car they fell over for the air! :lmao: including my nephew! drove everyone home, right back to school to meet with the teacher! :cool1:
I try to meet with the kids teacher ever couple of weeks because of Zack's LD/LB (learning disability and language barrier)
I know it's only the first full week of school, the teacher is very nice!!! We discussed Zack, how he needs little more time on tests, maybe more information on HOW to do the work, etc. She is very understanding and on board! i explained about Meg being Mother Hen and she CANNOT stop talking, Matt and his sarcasm, tried to pull some nonsense like he did with the last teacher who fell for it. Explained how i want to wirk with the teacher make sure i am ensuing the same teachings as she is doing in the classroom. I'm not the parent who says MY KID IS PERFECT blah blah. had to explain the three of them will NOT start anything yet... will end it. ::yes::
we spoke for about an hour i walked out feeling GREAT and knowing we will have a great school year.
Then with the 100+ temp.. Kids had football/cheerleading practice! :scared1:
I was sweating from watching these kids. they did all their calestitics with full equipment! then.. the coaches then let the kids take off the equipment to run plays for the rest of practice. They had to have practice since:
TODAY! we have a jamboree at a local high school.. it's like a scrimmage against the other school to know how our team will measure up. :yay:
I am PRAYING it cools off a bit!!!

love this...

Oh my gosh, what a cute picture!!!

It's great that the kids' teacher was willing to talk with you and work with you. Some teachers just won't do that. I think most teachers are unsung heroes who deserve a lot more pay than they get.

Now, over to Dee's thread to catch up. Have a great day (and hopefully a cooler one)!

you are right.. SOME teachers are the most amazing angels walking the earth. Thankfully i have had a few teaching my children!!! They do need a raise!!!

if you have time to watch this it's really cute: BOY BAND PRINCESS

ok off to do more research on my trip!!!

No A/C in the school?!? :scared1: I'm a wimp...I think I might die! LOL

Glad to hear that you had a wonderful meeting with the munchkins teacher. It is always great when you can work with the teachers to have a productive year for everyone....sometimes teachers like that are few and far between.

I absolutely LOVE the magic shot. Their faces are priceless. Adorable as always!

I cracked up at the beginning of that video. It was really cute though. What is it about boy bands that is so mesmerizing?!? Guilty pleasure I guess!

Are all the kids in the same class?

I can't believe they have to practice with all that equipment in the heat. I think the HS students here practice before school but also after. Hopefully they do the major work outs in the morning. Hope the weather cools down soon.

Loved the video! Those boys really have singing talent! Thanks for sharing, and have a great day!

:thumbsup2 Yes. i am very happy to have yet another great teacher!

I absolutely LOVE the magic shot. Their faces are priceless. Adorable as always!

Aww thank you!!! magic shots are the BEST!

I hope you had a great day too!!!

******************************************************

the jamboree went well. didn't end until 8:15. stopped with Jen and her kids to McDonalds. I don't eat McDonalds. a few years ago i had gotten food poisoning, the second time my burger was raw. like someone took it out of the fridge and threw it on the bun raw. still cold and bloody. then seeing what the mcnuggets are made out of? No thanks. so i swore it off for good. Yet this was the closest and fastest dinner on the way home plus, I figured they can't screw up a salad right?
i was home yesterday from work because AGAIN i was sick. that's IT NO MORE.
i did get on the scale and lost another 3 pounds. :woohoo:
found out one of the mothers from the football team text the head coach (who is a friend of mine) saying something about how the team need sportsmanship how her son is passive aggressive and the antics that is going on has to stop and her son didn't want to give up the name of the kid who..... are you ready for this???

he.................

this other child spilled water on her son. and the kid said "your welcome"

wanna guess who she named??? Zack. Yep.. My Zack. the kid who NEVER does this stuff who is a pleaser, who doesn't say boo to ANYONE. I am irate. 1. it's FOOTBALL why is a passive aggressive child on full tackle football team?!?! 2. it was WATER on a hot day??? 3. it was Zack. if they said Matt i would believe it a bit more.
Once the kids got in the car i turn to Zack and ask. Did you pour water on some kid yesterday?
He looks at me and said "yes" i almost fell out of the car right there! Zack?!?! really?!?!? OK why did you pour water on the kid. "because he tried to kick me in the face. "WHAT?!?!?!?" something happened the kid tried to kick Zack in the face. Zack tried to pull him off the bleachers couldn't so he took the water and poured it on him.
I called the head coach and told him there is more to the story. gave Zack the phone and he told him the whole story.
now i am a bit upset. Zack didn't go running to anyone telling them what this kid tried to do he took care of the situation then forgot about it didn't make a big deal out of it. This Passive aggressive monster is pulling the wool over their parents eyes and lied about Zack.
Now that the coaches know more of the story they can handle it. in the meantime i have two boys out for revenge... ;) the coaches but the "passive aggressive" kid up against both my boys on defense. well you can imagine how that went. My kids will NEVER start anything, but will finish it. this is a huge rule in my house along the NO LYING rule... Don't start anything. if you don't like someone of something walk away. yet if your being pushed around bullied, or like the situation above end it.
So now everyone is joking with Zack being the bully.. :sad2: he laughs at it and tells them if they don't quit he will spray water on them! oh brother.. How would you handle this?
*****************************

SO talking with Jen at the horrific McDonalds she said she finally started her "homework" (the packet of information i gave her)
She said she really likes and leaning towards POLY!!! :cool1:
she does like AK too but she said it is just so far away from everything. Yes it is. but it is completely up to her and the family. told her to order the planning DVD.
I don't know if i mentioned this.. They are also a family of 5. no multiples.
she also does not like roller-coasters. OK now she needs to you tube the rides show to the 5 year old as well to get them ready for what is involved on the rides. :rolleyes1

I am having WAY more fun helping them plan their first trip. yet WISH they would do more!!! get more excited!!! ya know?!?! :lmao:

:headache:

love them.

this weekend IS A LAZY WEEKEND! tonight is dog training. tomorrow Tom is standing up in a wedding. I AM NOT GOING!!!! :yay: I don't know anyone there so Tom said i could stay home. kid and i weekend. i am looking forward to. a clean house!!! :laundy: catch up on the house!!! i am soooo looking forward to it!
plan on doing a lot more researching, planning!

very hot midgets at AK:

hope everyone has a great weekend!
can't wait to read some TRIP REPORTS!!!! :cheer2:
