Where to watch NFL in Universal?

My dh asked me if there would be any place to catch a few minutes of the Dallas Cowboys game while in Universal next Sunday. The only place that I could find on my own was NBA City, but that seems to be only in the bar area which won't work with the kids. It looks like the other television screens are playing basketball clips.

Are there any other pub style restaurants that would show games onsite similar to ESPN Zone where we can go for lunch and check some scores?

Our resort room is not an option as I do not think the Eagles/Cowboys will be on local tv.

I was at NBA City on a Sunday last year and they had a good number of NFL games on. Nascar Cafe is out of the question, as they only have 100% Nascar clips. If you find out NBA City will not be showing your game, can I receommend Friday's Front Row on I-Drive. It's only about 10 mins from Universal and it's a two-story monster sports bar with tons of televisions. Or, if you don't mind the drive, go down to the best sports bar in Orlando- the All Star Cafe at Disney's Wide World of Sports. They have about 20 massive digital HD televisions with every NFL game on, and those table side speakers so you can choose the audio for your game. Another place is JB's, which is actually very close to Universal Studios (5 minutes), but still requires driving.

I know these aren't good recommendations if you absolutely cannot leave Universal, but I figured I'd try.

Thanks for the info. I could leave Universal. We will have a car. That sounds like a great place to watch a game.

Hang on a second, guys ... there are plenty of places inside both IOA and US that have televisions, and in the past (we always seem to go around NFL playoff time) many were tuned to the games. I have caught games at the bars at both the Enchanted Oak (IOA, across from Dueling Dragons) and the Backwater Bar (near the entrance to IOA). As for the many other bars with TVs, I'm sure the bartender could be convinced to channel surf a bit, especially since Sunday afternoons are usually a little slow...

I'm assuming most of the bars, etc. will have Monday Night Football on...we'll be there this Monday night...GO PATS!!!!! :cheer2:

The park will be closed by the time the game starts. Sorry.

Yes but she was asking about a non-local game. I doubt the Echanted Oak will have the DirectV NFL Sunday Ticket. Yes there are plenty of places around IOA and CityWalk that have a 27 inch tv above the bar playing ESPN, but definitely not a satellite game. For that you need a sports bar.

That is correct. I doubt it will be a national game. I will need to go someplace with Sunday Ticket. I suppose we could always get away for a couple of hours of Sunday afternoon to go watch the game. It looks like it may rain Sunday anyway. We have all day Friday and Saturday at U/IOA, with Monday being open also as a check in day for Disney. We could still get some park time in during the day on Monday.

Thanks for all of your help.
