Where to view FoF parade

I have a picture of the route but am trying to decide if we should FP this or not. Is there a reason why everyone crowds to be at the hub for viewing, except for wanting to have the castle in the background - do they do "extra" stuff at this point? If we don't do a FP for this, is there a better place to view it with lower crowds. I really don't want to wait over an hour on the curb but also want the kids to see it (8,6,4). We are going in early May, crowds should be level 5 or 6.

I like to pick my spot based on where I want to go after the parade (with a route open behind me so that I don't have to cross the parade route.) DD and I often watch from the very end of the parade route next to splash.

If you'll be leaving the park after the parade, the Train Station area is good. If you'll be staying in the park, the Frontierland/Hall of Presidents area is a good viewing area.

FoF always begins in Frontierland and ends at the Fire Station in Town Square.

I'm not certain yet if we will leave or stay after the parade but my thought is we will stay. Do the spots mentioned fill up quick or can we go about 1/2 hour before and still get a good viewing spot?

Ive watched the parade from a few different youtubers at all different angles and places along the route. I have determined that the place that I would like to view is on the corner, near Caseys.
I really liked seeing the floats coming straight at me from around the hub circle, and also felt I got a fantastic view of the entire float as it went past.
Finally, I feel like with so much motion on all of these new floats, Ill be guaranteed to see the floats in their entirety.

Fight in front of Caseys - That's my place!

This is how we plan also, I have a Splash FP for 3-4, so I'm staking out a parade spot close to there :thumbsup

Hi Buggy!

My DD is also in FoF! Guests have been staking out spots close to two hours in advance. With your kids, and if you want a close-up view, you'll need to start looking for a spot earlier.

But, the floats are very tall... sitting on the upper level of the Train Station would be good to see things at eye level rather than looking up. The only thing you miss by being on the upper Train Station level is the possible interaction with the characters who are walking along the route.
