I guess depends on what you are looking for!
Do you want a large spread out resort with different themed areas?
Maybe something smaller and easy to navigate?
Both Caribbean Beach Resort and Coronado Springs are rather large resorts, each having a section that is a tad different than the other. For example, at Coronado Springs there are the Casitas, Ranchos and Cabanas. Each little area that houses these rooms are different than the other.
Port Orleans Riverside is large as well, but I'd say it's smaller (or seems that way do to the landscaping) than CBR or CSR. With Port Orleans Riverside, you have two sections to stay in, Alligator Bayou which is more rustic and has a Louisiana backwoods feel to it, or Magnolia Bend (my fave of the two) with a different "mansion" to select from such as Parterre Place, Magnolia Bend, etc.
Port Orleans French Quarter is the smallest of all the moderates and makes it a little easier to get around. If you are not looking to do much walking, then here would be your best bet. The nice thing about French Quarter and Riverside is that they are sister resorts, so you can use the pools at both resorts if you so desire. The walk between the two resorts is very scenic and relaxing!
My personal favorite of all the moderates is Coronado Springs. It is the newest of all the mods (opening in 1997) and has a more deluxe feel to it. The main pool
The Dig Site is a big draw for young and old alike. We stayed in the Cabana section and had a great stay.
