Where to Stay???

In Jan 2008 we are going to disneyland and taking a friend with us so there will be four of us. We would love to stay at the GCH but were aren't sure if it is in our budget. We are still considering it but would like to have a back-up plan. We have decided not to stay at either of the other two disney hotels. What are some good neighbor hotels that offer suites?

Sorry for adding onto your question, but I am also wondering where to stay and whether the GCH will be too expensive, but I haven't been able to find the rates. Could someone please tell me where to find the rates for the GCH?

have you looked at disneyland.com? The dates for 2008 are avaliable now.

Tropicanna, Carousel Inn and BWPPI all have Suites and have all had good reviews here. They are all right across the road from DL so are as close GCH.

$$ depends on the time of the year you will be going. GCH is expensive. We stay at the RI Maingate. The rooms are large, full kitchen, excellent breakfast, etc. There are 6 of us and we reserved the penthouse suite for $139.00/night mid August. We usually walk to the park from there.

Are you sure you need a suite. With only four of you, you would fit comfortably in Candy Cane Inn or Howard Johnson. Thetwo fav offsites here on the boards. CCI has a dedicated shuttle, and a great continental breakfast. HOJO is missing those two things, but the rates with an entertainment card are amazing. Figure $100 or so at CCI, and $60 Ent Rate at HOJO.
