where to shop w/DVC discount?

Where on WDW property can I use my DVC card to get a discount? thinking of major Christmas shopping

I don't recall any shopping discounts extended to DVC members beyond the 10% at local Disney Stores. AP holders get 10% off at the World of Disney in DD.

Check the member web site for a current list of discounts.

tjkraz is correct, there aren't (to my knowledge) any merchandise discounts for DVC members at WDW, but members do have some Dining discounts and valet parking.

There is a list on the member's site, in most DVC publications and you'll get a current printed list at check in at your DVC resort.

I believe I got a DVC discount at Basin in DTD Marketplace.

The discount where it's offered is only 10%. IMHO not enough to bother doing "major shopping" and then have to lug it all home, potentially losing that slim margin of savings in overweight luggage or shipping charges.

I think the World of Disney Store in DTD *might* offer the 10% discount, but not sure.

The only DVC shopping discount is 10% off at Basin at DTD. You do get 10% off all Disney Store purchase, but it's not available at any store located on WDW property. If you're an AP holder, you can get 10% off World of Disney purchases.

True in some cases. But it is worth noting that if you opt to have your purchases shipped directly home by Disney, you do not have to pay sales tax on the items. They do charge a minimum shipping & handling in the neighborhood of $9, but on expensive items, you can actually save money going this route.

Combine that with the 10% AP holder discount at the World of Disney, and you can surely save a few bucks.
