Okay ... I'm looking to bring the wife and the kids to shop (rain day plan) ...

I am looking for a mall that would be within a $10 cab ride? Is this possible?

The Lake buena Vista Outlet mall is on the 535, not far from the resorts, not sure what the cost would be.

i go shopping outside of Disney world EVERY YEAR that I go. I would suggest the Premium Outlet Mall (8200 Vineland Avenue Orlando, FL 32821 ). I love the fact that it is a partially outside mall and the weather is always so nice and refreshing (compared to what i am typically used to). They also have great hours (like mon - sat open until 11 pm and sun till 9 pm) so a visit here can often fit in with your plans. There is also a publix grocery store located within walking distance from the mall where you can pick up a few items at less expensive cost than on property.

As for the $10 cab ride...i remember that last year when I took a cab there I believe the cab ride was approx. $15. HOWEVER, the savings at this outlet mall were WELL WORTH the increase of $5. FOR EXAMPLE....when we were there in June, the COACH STORE had a 70% off nearly EVERYTHING store, which was well worth the cost of getting there.

Hope that helps!

We go to this one every time. We love the Izod, Nike, Aeropostale and Old Navy Stores. Yes...I know we have some of them here as well but the prices/sales are waaaaay better there. There is also a VF store that is pretty good. I love Lee womans pants and that store has every style ever made. Last year when we went there we got Fruit of the Loom fleece hoodies for 98cents. I thought they would be ready for the garbage after 2 or 3 washes but they have been washed a whole lot and they still look great.

We also got .98 shirts last year and they are still being worn.

I go to The Premium Outlet too, and also the Publix across the street to stock up on stuff for the room, beer? wine? lol! It's still a novelty to me that you can buy those in a grocery store! And the price, wow!

If you take a cab to the Premium Outlets from DTD it costs about $10-$12. I've gotten some amazing deals there!

Another vote for Premium Outlet Mall, don't miss the Disney outlet there, you can find theme park stuff there more than half off. Take resort bus to DTD and then take cab from there, it will be closest to the mall.

dancinDisneystlye- what is VF? Sounds interesting. I also agree premium outlets are awesome...especially the Disney outlet!
