Where to put the pack n play?

Myself, DH, DDs 8 and 6 and DS1 are travelling to WDW in May. We currently have a family suite at ASMu booked. However, I am thinking of booking to rooms at a moderate instead. The problem is where to put the pack n play. I definitely do not want it in our room, but it will not fit in the bathroom (areas).

Does anyone know for sure if a pack n play will fit in the bathroom at the moderates? I had a CM tell me yes, but I would like some firsthand experience. DS1 really prefers quiet and darkness.

Thanks!
Diana

Depending where you stay many of the moderate resorts have a curtain that you divides the sink area and bathroom from the rest of the room. We put our pack n play next to the sink area and pulled the curtain. We also brought an extra sheet and tension rod to hang to square off a sleeping area. It worked great for us. In my opinion, I don't see a pack n play fitting in the bathroom. I just can't picture it in there and the door closing. Besides, what if you need to go??

With two bathrooms in the ASMusic Family Suites, you could probably do something similar to the mods and have more room. From the pics, it looks like there are curtains in the dressing/closet/sink area in the suites. You could put the Pack N Play in one dressing area and pull the curtain. And you would still have the other dressing area and bathroom free. Does that make sense?

And you could always bring a rod and sheet just in case (or confirm the curtain in dressing area on the resorts board).

We stayed at the WL with a Pack N Play last January, and there is no way that the Pack N Play would have fit in the bathroom (with the toilet and tub). I wonder if the CM meant in the sink/dressing area of the mod room (and not the actual bathroom with the toilet and tub and with the door closed).

Have a great trip!

We were at POR Christmas week. You couldn't fit a pack-n-play in the actual bathroom (as in with the toilet and tub) but you could in the dressing area outside the bathroom. There is a curtain that divides that area from the rest of the room.

(the curtain does go all the way across, I just didn't pull it all the way for this pic)

Are there curtains in the value resorts? We are staying at POP and the only part about the trip that I am terrified about is the sleeping arrangements. My youngest is a very lite sleeper, and he has never slept with us in the room before (he's 21 months). I am pretty sure if he sees us he will want to be up and playing. If there isn't a curtain, can I bring a rod and sheet? Thanks!

It looks like we'll be able to put the pack n play at least behind the privacy curtains in the dressing areas. I think if we keep the girls in our bedroom long enough for DS to get to sleep (usually 5-10 mins), we should be good.

One other point, we are requesting a pack n play. We could bring our own, but there's no extra charge so we aren't. The CM I spoke to said the WDW pack n play's are more narrow than regular ones and that's why she believed they could fit in the acutal bathroom in the moderates. I thought they were standard Graco pack n plays. Any experience? Will my sheets still fit?

Thanks again.

We stayed at ASSports in November and we really lucked out. We had a connecting room with my parents and our room was an accessible one with an accessible shower...so, we were able to put the pack n play in the bathroom when DD went to sleep and close over the door. When we were ready to sleep, we took the pack n play out and put it near our bed. We had my parent's room though so we were not without a bathroom. I am so glad this worked out, otherwise it would have been tough for DH and I to talk, watch TV etc.

I thought the pack n play was about the same size as the one we have at home....the sheet fit fine.

The PNP is a standard size, at least the one at AKL was.

To those with light sleepers, I highly, highly recommend that you invest $12 in the Homedics white noise machine available at Target!! You can drown out the TV, a conversation, whatever noise might bother your sleeping baby - it was a godsend for us!!

no curtains at Pop. also none at Coronado Springs either, unless they changed it since i was there. i think they are the only mod that does not have them.

FWIW, our room in the Casitas section of CSR had the curtain. I utilized it every morning as to not wake DBF...:)

I definitely would not change because if you do end up putting the packnplay in the sink area of a bathroom you will at least have another bathroom to use since you start off with two.

Also on other threads I have seen a picture of a family suite that was in a different building that had a closet with actual b-fold doors. Maybe if you had one of those you could stick the PnP partially in the closet, and bring a sheet to try to block it off a little more.

In the moderates there is also not much floor room for everyone else.

looked it up, my bad ;) i must have been thinking that trip was a CSR stay when in fact, it was at Pop.

Has anyone used a pack n play at the poly? Going in Feb and am not sure if there is a good place to use it to give me and DH some privacy?

Thanks!
