I am wondering if we can park at Downtown Disney for free. Is there a tram to the parks from there? I am clueless as I haven't been in years! Thanks. :moped:

Yes, you can park at DTD for free. There is transportation there to the various resorts, but none directly to any of the parks.

The time you would spend parking at DTD, waiting for a bus to a resort, then transferring to another bus to a park will be better spent if you just pay the $$ to park at the theme park.

We stay on site and always rent a car, just because we feel it's too much wasted time to wait for the busses.

You only pay to park once a day. So if you go to the MK first and then to AK, you just show your receipt from the first parking lot and they will let you in for nothing extra.

DTD parking is for guests who are shopping, dining or taking part in other entertainment at DTD only.

They discontinued the buses to the parks from DTD and back because all the people trying to avoid the parking fees of the theme park lots.

If you have an annual pass, you can get free parking. If you stay at a Disney owned resort, you can get free parking.

Thanks everyone! If you can park at one of the parks for the day and then move on to another later in the day without paying again then it's worth it to me! I appreciate your feedback! :wave2:
