Where to get nice formal clothing

Where can you get really nice formal clothing for women that won't cost you a small fortune? I am a large size woman, and have looked at several large size clothing web sites but can't find anything formal. Need HELP!

I have gone to brick and mortar stores right now for the summer clearance sales.

Mom is large sized and we have found some nice stuff. I would check at Filenes right now.

I picked up a beautiful "full figured" dress on ebay for the bargain basement price of $83.76 + $5.00 shipping.

I found a great web site thru Goggle. It is alldresses.com and the dresses are affordable and BEAUTIFUL! The sizes go from 1 up to the plus sizes, so everyone can use this site.

chadwicks has a variety of formal wear at clearance prices. Be sure you're in the overstocks section. But even their regular prices aren't too bad.

Penney's also has quite a bit on clearance now too.

There's also the option to go with a nice black skirt and a fancy top or two instead of a formal gown.

Macy's - without a doubt. I bought two formal dresses there. They always run sales on top of their clearance prices and I usually do very well!
