I need some cash when visiting, where would you recommend getting cash from? Are there any ATM's / cash points with no fee or should I order some to bring with me?

Take a reasonable amount of money from an ATM at your home airport, then take it to the currency exchanges in CDG or ORY.I need some cash when visiting, where would you recommend getting cash from? Are there any ATM's / cash points with no fee or should I order some to bring with me?
OMG, no, thats the worst travel advice. The airport currency exchanges are notorious for having the worst currency exchange rates and fees.Take a reasonable amount of money from an ATM at your home airport, then take it to the currency exchanges in CDG or ORY.
Always have cash, as if there are internet issues in Disneyland Paris, they wont accept cards, as all the payment terminals are internet based. This has caused issues in the past as the ATMS ran out of cash.Following along. My credit cards have no transaction fees. Other than tipping, what types of things are cash only? Disneyland Paris can be 100% credit card, is that correct? DLP does not accept Disney GC. Is that correct?
DLP is not fully owned by Disney, so their stores wouldn’t take Disney gift cards.
Thanks. I was asking more to figure out how much cash to bring.Always have cash, as if there are internet issues in Disneyland Paris, they wont accept cards, as all the payment terminals are internet based. This has caused issues in the past as the ATMS ran out of cash.
Correct Disneyland Paris does not accept American Disney Gift cards as they are in US Dollars and Disneyland Paris is in France and Euros are used in France.
Thats how long is a piece of string question. How long are you in Disneyland Paris? What are your plans outside of the parks, are you planning days in Paris or other countries in the Euro zone? What is your budget overall? You need to decide how much you will be spending overall and then have a % of that cash.Thanks. I was asking more to figure out how much cash to bring.
Thanks for the correction. I was confusing DLP with another non-US park. That is not correct. The Walt Disney Company have full control of and fully own Disneyland Paris since the buy out in 2017.
The reason Disneyland Paris does not accept American Disney Gift Cards is because they are in US Dollars and Disneyland Paris is in France, where the currency is Euros. US Dollars are not legal currency in France.
Right. I wasn't looking for an exact dollar value or a worst case scenario calculation. I was asking which things are cash only.Thats how long is a piece of string question. Many public toilets in France and other countries require payment, and will only take coins.
Some shops may not accept international cards as they loose money with foreign transaction fees or your cards may not be accepted by the payment terminals if they are not pin and chip.
My CC also doesn't have international fees and I use it for 99% of purchases, but I generally keep €100-200 for tips and little things.Following along. My credit cards have no transaction fees.
