I need some cash when visiting, where would you recommend getting cash from? Are there any ATM's / cash points with no fee or should I order some to bring with me?

Order some from your bank to bring with you. Try to get €20 notes if you can, as some places may not accept €50 for small purchases as they might not have change.

While there are ATMS in Disneyland Paris, you will always get the best exchange rate at your local bank. And you wont put yourself at risk of your card details being compromised.

Depending on how long I’m going, I order $100 worth of Euros for every two weeks I’m there from my bank. Tends to cover initial purchases ( public transport cards, museum entrances, etc) and small buys like snacks or newspapers.

You may be able to use ATMs depending on your card network, etc. but expect fees to be high. Also, there are exchanges at the airport, but, again, there will be fees. I agree with others that it is best to order currency through your bank before you leave. They should be able to do that for you. I also recommend getting a credit card with no foreign transaction fees (like a Capital One Venture or other travel card), and then you don't have to worry about having so much cash on hand (though it's alwyas good to have some just in case).

Take a reasonable amount of money from an ATM at your home airport, then take it to the currency exchanges in CDG or ORY.

We specifically opened a bank account with Schwab as our travel account because there are no ATM fees and they reimburse fees automatically. So we just find an ATM and get Euros as needed.

“Charles Schwab offers unlimited ATM fee rebates worldwide for their Investor Checking account holders using the Schwab Bank Visa Platinum Debit Card. Fees charged by other ATM operators are automatically reimbursed at the end of each monthly statement cycle. No minimum balance or monthly fees are required for this benefit.“

OMG, no, thats the worst travel advice. The airport currency exchanges are notorious for having the worst currency exchange rates and fees.

Following along. My credit cards have no transaction fees. Other than tipping, what types of things are cash only? Disneyland Paris can be 100% credit card, is that correct? DLP does not accept Disney GC. Is that correct?

My husband and I opened a separate account at our bank as our “travel” fund with an ATM card that is not linked to our other accounts. We get Euros (or other currency for our destinations) from our bank in advance, then use the ATM if we want more cash.

I don’t think we used any cash at Disneyland Paris except for tips. DLP is not fully owned by Disney, so their stores wouldn’t take Disney gift cards.
