where to get a birthday cake?

I've seen something here in the past about people ordering cakes. We have never had occasion to before, but we will be at POR and at MK on dd's bday( her dream come true) we told the LTT it is her bday when we made dinner ressies but I'd love to order a special cake, where do I do that from and where does it get delivered? Dinner or out hotel room?

When we stayed at the Pop Century they had Mickey Mouse birthday cakes right in the food court

Main street Bakery must be able to make one and you could pick it up on your way to LTT. If you call guest relations, somebody should be able to tell you. Or if you have a car, you can go to the Super Walmart down the street and get one also.

I called 407-824-7091 today to order the slipper desert for our CRT lunch. I got the impression this was the MK bakery that took orders for restaurants throughout the Magic Kingdom because they asked me if I wanted a cake for any of our other ADRs.

We're celebrating my DS 3rd bday at the Crystal Palace on our vacation. I thought about getting a birthday cake but realized that it would probably be too much for us. Does anyone know if they would have a special cupcake for him? I know they do this at Chef Mickey. Do I have to call and order it ahead of time?

If you are planning to eat in a restaurant while celebrating her birthday you might be able to get the restaurant to do something. When we ate at Boma, my mom told the restaurant before we went that we needed a birthday cake for a 5 yr old boy. They brought it out at the right moment & he was very surprised (it was also delicious!!)
