We are arriving at 11am with 4 children (8,7,5,5) on Dec 11th and we are staying at all star music what good table service rest are close? We are thinking of hanging at the hotel for a bit then relax & then go out to dinner about 7. Thanks...
i would probably take them down town and do the rainforest or if you need something on the DDP maybe planet hollywood. then you can also walk aroung DD.
oh another place that comes to mind is ESPN on the boardwalk, another great place to be at night.
I agree with the PP that a Downtown Disney restaurant would be fun, especially as you're going to be there in December and DD will be decorated for the season. You can walk around and check out Goofy's Candy Company or Ghiradelli for dessert, and shop in the Lego, Christmas, and Toy stores nearby.
There is also a Rainforest Cafe at AK that might be a closer drive or bus ride from the All Stars.
It's a bit farther away, but dinner at Chef Mickeys or Ohana would also be a fun first night because you'd be close to the MK and can take the kids on a quick monorail ride or go outside to watch the fireworks, if you time it right.
What?! At those ages jump right in with dinner at Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary hotel. Eat with Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto and Donald. After dinner take the monorail to the Polynesian and Grand Floridian to see those christmas decorations.
T-rex may not be on the DDP, have to wait and see.
DTD is a cool place to explore when you are not doing a park. Lots of good dining places, maybe raglan road? Nice place to walk around before and after dinner too.
getting to chef mickeys will require taking a bus to the MK and then walking over to the Contemporary. Reverse to get back to the resort unless you have a car. Getting resort to resort is difficult on the bus system. (can take a taxi back to)
Will it bother you/kids tobe that close to the MK and not go in?
