The Wife and I are trying to figure out where we should eat lunch at Epcot on the Day we are going.. Looking for suggestions!

Stipulations:
1) Must be sit down (we like to relax mid-day)
2) We are on the DDP
3) We would like to be immersed in the atmosphere
4) Cannot be Chefs De France, as that is where we are planning dinner
5) Kids ages: 11, 10, 9, 5
6) We are adventurous eaters.. so nothing is off limits.
7) Must be in Epcot

:goodvibes Thank you again for all suggestions.

The Chinese at Lotus Blossom is good.

The Moroccan CS is decent and a good cultural adventure food wise.

France has a pastry shop in the back where you can get a decent sandwich on a baguette with a snack and drink on CS credit.

Thank you for the prompt reply!

I hear mixed reviews on the Lotus... but we love Chinese. Is it Authentic or the 'Americanized?'

We were thinking of the French Pastry shop for a snack or pre-freworks dessert ... ;)

Biergarten....oompah band plays during your meal and the kids can even get up and dance. (and Dad can get a beer if he so desires, but he'll have to pay OOP for it.)

For counter service, we loved Tangierene (sp?) Cafe in Morocco. Neither my parents nor my children are adventurous eaters, but DH and I are and we all enjoyed it. There was plenty of seating.

Of course, Sunshine Seasons has a zillion things to choose from, but my goal last trip was NOT to eat there :goodvibes. Seems like we always ate there and I wanted to try the CS in the WS.

Have fun!

Beirgarten sounds fun! Family loves German food!

Not Familiar with Sunshine Seasons.. Looking that up!

Thanks everyone for the suggestions.. keep them coming! :thumbsup2

Another vote for Biergarten

As stated, live entertainment.

Buffet - something for everyone including by favorite pretzel bread.

Good beer - to replace bodily fluids of course.

Marrakesh would be my suggestion. It too has entertainment, great service, and adventurous food.

Beirgarten and Marrakesh seem to be the most popular responses. Is the live entertainment what puts them above the rest?

What about Teppan Edu or Rose and Crown?

How about Via Napoli in Italy? I ate there for the first time in May and really enjoyed it. Then I took my family there in August and all loved it. Even my picky eater said "we can eat here again". We all enjoyed it the 2nd time on our trip too.

I liked the atmosphere and the service at Marrakesh. The servers seem to be very attentive. I really enjoy Biergarten for the GIANT glass steins of dark beer. I am not a big fan of Teppan Edo and I haven't been to Rose and Crown yet - it is on our list for our next trip. It looks comfortable and would meet all your criteria.

-> Looking at this as well... Kids loves Italian

--> My wife is gravitating toward the Beirgarten based on some user pictures.

Thanks for all the suggestions.. Really appreciate the details everyone is giving! Keep it coming!

We like Rose and Crown a - though, part of the appeal for us is the private viewing area for Illuminations, making it more of a dinner choice for us.

If you can get into Le Cellier, the lunch there is still only 1 dining credit

Not sure if you have any interest in a princess meal, but we always hit up Akershus ... good and different food and for those interested you get to meet a lot of princesses

I've read mixed reviews of the various restaurants in the Mexico pavilion, but it is certainly one with a pretty immersive setting

Just some other thoughts - I think Beirgarten and Marrakesh (we did a great wine pairing meal there during F&WF one year) are good choices too

Counter Service: Tangierine (really yummy food, slightly exotic), Sunshine Seasons (healthy choices abound), La Boulangerie (great lunch entrees as well as yummy French pasteries), and Kringla Bakeri in Norway (fun and different sandwiches, plus more yummy pasteries).

Table Service: For lunch, we enjoy Rose & Crown, Le Cellier (don't want to spend 2 TS credits for dinner), Tutto Italia and Via Napoli (great pizza).

Just a thought...you mentioned you are eating at Les Chefs for dinner. We always prefer a lighter lunch when our TS meal is dinner. I'm assuming you are on the regular dining plan and not deluxe, correct? If I'm wrong, then CS wouldn't really work, LOL. My top two choices for CS would be Tangierine or Kringla. Both yummy and unique! For a lighter TS meal, I'd probably get pizza at Via Napoli if I were eating at Les Chefs in the evening.

Another thought....if you want your kids to see Remy at Les Chefs, you'll need to go at lunchtime. He doesn't appear in the evenings. Unless there have been some changes that I'm completely unaware of....which is entirely possible. LOL
Have a wonderful time!

Appreciate the Attention to detail. We are doing an OOP dinner so we have an extra TS which is why we are opting for a Lunch and Dinner at Epcot. :thumbsup2

Le Cellier was something we looked into.. but we have plenty of top Notch Steak places around us... so we wanted to try something different.

I have heard mixed reviews on Akershus... Is the food decent?

They have a very immersive atmosphere for the whole family and plenty of good food and drinks.

We enjoyed the food quite a bit at Akershus ... but I don't know if we would go there for just the food. BUT given the princess interaction the food is more than good enough
