Where to buy tickets

I have the option of purchasing tickets through work. The price isn't much different except the work tickets are park hoppers. If I purchase tickets through work will I still be able to link them easily to my Disney account and maybe get a discount (like cheaper hotel or free dining) if it is released in the future? I was concerned that I might need to have a hotel & ticket purchase made together to qualify for most discounts.

Is this an issue that a travel agent could help with? I've been searching looking for a good travel agent, but just get more confused.
