My printer is out of ink and I need to buy some to make door signs for my DCL cruise. :goodvibes The cartridges have gone way up in price at local office supply stores. Is there a reputable site that sells inexpensive ink?

I have had good luck buying "Genuine, new" cartridges on eBay. But I just bought another one and found the same price at Walmart, and they shipped it to the house in 2 days. Ink is expensive!

Try Swift Ink . com. I've had good luck with the ones for my Canon. They have the chips in them already. hth

I usually order it from 123inkjets.com through Ebates. They sell genuine name brand cartridges, sometimes they are on sale but with the ebates cash back, it's very reasonable. If you can wait, they are an ebates daily double pretty regularly and the cash back is 32% of the purchase price - right now it's 16%.

They only have a "Compatible Replacement" for my printer. I was looking for the brand name.

They only have "Remanufactured Cartridges" for my old Epson. I'm a little afraid to try those.

I am afraid to use those also - I lucked out with my cartridges a few months back and was able to purchase genuine HP cartridges. Does Epson partner with Ebates? Maybe you can get cash back that way?

I personally have had good luck with staples brand ones for my Hp printer. otherwise Costco or sams club seem to have best price. I have also had my carts refilled at costco and Office max. I've had good price at walmart also.

I have had mixed experience with refilled toner cartridges for my Brother multi use printer and have gone back to using new Brother toner cartridges. It seems that the stores that offer refilled/replacement cartridges all operate with their own manufacturing standards--if you find one store whose product works for you, it doesn't mean that another branch of the same store will sell you exactly the same product.

Get a new printer.

The price for our HP ink cartridges was getting out of hand IMO so I did some research on printers that were good at not being ink hogs and had reasonable ink replacement costs.

I ended up going with this printer:

Name brand cartridges cost less than $30 to replace at stores like Staples and generic cartridges on Amazon (which get really good reviews) are less than $7 for 2 sets.

So far the printer has been great. I haven't had to replace the ink yet so I don't know about the generic cartridges but I figure, If I have to buy name brand ones, in the end they are more than 50% cheaper than the HP cartridges I was purchasing before.

I've had good and bad experiences with the non brand ink. I've had good luck with 123inkjets using the awesome rebate from ebates for my canon printer. I used to have a dell printer and was tired of buying ink from them. Found a compatible cartridge at one of the office supply store and it was horrible and dried out. Never bought there again.
